Understaffed. Only 2 registers open (lines 10 people deep) on a Sunday at 7:30/8pm The shelves were also very empty. All around low inventory, especially in the food areas. I don't normally shop at Walmart so it's hard to say if this was "worse" than "usual" but it definitely reaffirmed I'll only shop at a Walmart when I have to. read more

Rudest people ever work in the electronics aisle, I'm a photographer, I came to this location trying to find a specific size of film but due to them being behind glass I couldn't read the specs on the back of the box. When I asked for help, the man opened the glass door and wouldn't let me read the box myself then when i asked to personally read it (because I was looking for a specific kind of film and I'm the photographer) the man pulled his arm back further and stated that he wasn't stupid and treated me like a criminal... This store has 100+ workers in there but I can't read the box to the $50 film I wanted to purchase... Ridiculous read more

Store has an easy-to-navigate layout. I prefer shopping here over the Walmart in Wilkes-Barre. I found what I needed (and then some!). They do appear very busy and understaffed. Saw many employees shopping for the online orders and there were only a few registers open with pretty long lines. read more

I've been told that this Supercenter is a huge improvement on the old Supercenter that it replaced. That may be so, but I found this one to be a little on the run down side. Picked over, not leveled and generally untidy in the menswear section and the personal care/pharmacy areas. Self-checkout was quick but there were lines at the open registers. Cart corrals out front were not quite full but needed some cart wrangling. But it's a huge store and maybe other sections that I did not visit were better. read more

We had a terrible experience here. Will not be using their grocery pickup ever again. My husband checked in on the app and waited 25 minutes without anyone coming to the car with our order. Called multiple times with no success to get through to someone at the pickup counter. Finally get through only to be put on hold for ANOTHER 20 minutes. Finally, an associate gets on the phone and says that we are checked in, but there is no one at the counter to bring the order out and to please wait. At this point I requested that the order just be cancelled because my husband could not wait any longer as he needed to get back to work, and the associate hung up on me. Will definitely not be going back to the Pittston Walmart. read more

Came here with my boyfriend to pick up a few things. The floor staff was so so and didn't seem to know where the simple things were. When asked for boots she pointed in one direction and said if you don't see them there we don't have them. Come to find out she was pointing us in the wrong section. We finally found them on our own. When ready to check out the cashier was rude to say the least. She didn't greet either of us or look us in the eye. When finished she handed my boyfriend his boots and continued talking to her co-worker. He sat there and started to bag them himself while she watched unbothered. If you don't want to work with customers, you definitely shouldn't be working at Walmart! I will not be giving this store any of my business again. Very ignorant cashier! read more

It's Walmart, that's for sure. It's a decent walmart, decent size, clean, good selection of stuff. It's not too busy there, though sometimes it can be. My biggest and pretty much only complaint is that they always only have like 2 registers open, which is fine when it's not busy, but when it is? Prepare to wait. The employees are nice people, never had an issue with an employee. I did however have an issue with a manager once. We wanted to buy fish, and we asked for a fish person, nobody was coming. So the guy working electronics went over for us, and got the fish. His manager came over, and publicly shamed/yelled at the employee who was simply doing his job (helping customers) because he left the electronics department, but yet, there was another person in electronics. I reported the manager and praised the employee. Seriously managers, treat your employees well, bad managers create bad employees. Otherwise, it's a good Walmart. read more

This is a very sad place to shop. I needed assistance in the shoe department and the one girl said she did not know and paged the other one to come a help me. I waited and waited and waited and no one showed up. It seems like everyone in this Walmart hates their job with a passion and it is a burden to wait on their customers. Their are also not enough registers open and very long lines. I went on and tried at this Walmart and the application said they want the last 6 years of verifiable work experience. Really???? Do the managers really check references on these employees? I will probably be shopping at another Walmart from now on! read more
