This Walmart had an upbeat vibe that I've never seen before. People kept pouring in and happily grabbing items quickly. Maybe because it is located near the beaches and there are lots of tourists? It was across the street from the hotel so I decided to grab a few things. First off I found super fresh blackberries from Georgia. After being on the road for a few days, fresh fruit always helps. I also picked up some grass fed lean ground beef, some Cajun turkey breast, Sargento Swiss cheese and some fresh spinach. While in the bakery section, the freezer with Friendly's ice cream took me back to my childhood. Somehow I resisted and just snapped a few photos to share with my younger brother. We both loved Friendly's growing up in New England. Many shaves were almost empty in this store. I was happy to get what I needed and check out quickly. The people shipping here were friendly. I would definitely recommend this store if you are staying in the area. read more

Small Beach town Walmart very convenient to where we are staying and also has a Murphy gas station across the street. Compared to other Walmart Supercenters this place is heaven. Specially not living here full time it's great for long snowbirds or families coming in for spring break or summer vacation. Because they are small it limits them from getting the Bigger items that you would normally see at a bigger store. So please don't go there unless you're not in a hurry. They are also short staffed. This Walmart location was well stocked with most items even though it's on the smaller side. The food aisles had a great selection of items and the produce section was colorful and full of fresh fruits and veggies. If you're in search of beach items this is definitely the go to spot. There were plenty of bathing suits, shorts, tanks, water shoes, beach towels, pool floats, etc. The baby section however, which is what I came in for, was seriously lacking. There was one bassinet, 2 strollers, and 1 toddler bed to choose from whereas most Walmart supercenters have a couple of rows full of these items. There was a small section of baby food and snacks, a few brands of diapers, some clothes, and bows. This was the only section in the store that I noticed was missing a lot of items you'd normally see in Walmart everything else seemed to be pretty well stocked. read more

This Walmart primarily serves the vacationers of Destin / Santa Rosa Beach. So, it's much smaller than the Walmart Supercenter (no garden center; auto). No problem on these omissions. But, this ranks as one of the WORST Walmart I've ever walked into. Here's why: 1) Although the facility is new and it's a nice area, this Walmart is pure chaos. Walk inside and there's no room to move your cart around. People are everywhere and the aisles are narrow. I could barely maneuver around the store. 2) The grocery selection is poor. I had a hard time finding the few items I needed. This would have been easy had I been at Publix. 3) Fishing supplies: Yes, they have bait. But, the line to buy a fishing license was long. Fortunately, I found out by "googling" that it was a free fishing weekend. 4) checkout: Like many Walmarts, the cashier was rude and probably hated the fact that her life choices/circumstances led her to working at Walmart. She seemed irritated that I brought 18 items in her under 20 lane. Overall: GO TO PUBLIX. Truly, shopping at the nearby Publix is a pleasure by comparison. read more

Do Not Spend Money At The Tire Center!!!!! Walmart Tire Center in Pinellas Park Florida. I would not recommend anyone waste their time going there for any service. You will be greatly disappointed. The staff is so lazy and will not help you in anyway. I called to make an appointment for my dad a month in advance and the day of the appointment which we had to take off from work for, they tell us the part is not at the store yet. They had a whole month to order the part and it still wasn't available on the day of. Then I called to speak with the store manager and they tell me they don't know who that is!!!! I'm so frustrated. Very congested layout. It is probably difficult to get a small Walmart properly configured to maximize traffic flow and lines at the checkout counters. This summer was very difficult to get through the cash register's. Many people do not take advantage of the self check out especially when you have a whole shopping cart of food, clothing, and a multitude of other things. Perhaps assigning an additional resource or two at the self check out to facilitate a faster experience for people that have trouble learning how to do it well could make people more comfortable and move faster to the exit. Nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Best prices in the area of course which is a very expensive beach community. The staff is very helpful. Very clean and organized shelves. Never a mess even with all the chaotic beach traffic and kids. Wasn't fond of the electronics resource who seemed to be uncomfortable with me cranking a car stereo to see how it sounded. She got close and glared at me and I just turned it louder because I'm not going to listen to a barely audible sound system and decide whether it's the right one for me. It needs to be simulated just as if I were driving. I liked the liquor store and prices. One suggestion I would have is that the person be a little bit more aware of different drinks and their ingredients so that she could help sell the products needed to make certain concoctions. My network connection was not good enough to use my browser to get ingredients for what I needed online. And the Wi-Fi did not seem to move quickly either. So I wound up not buying everything that I needed but bought the bare minimum. read more

On Three separate occasion ( across more than a month) I have bought milk which was not expired but spoiled. Third time I came back and asked for a refund, and was told I would have to come back in an hour for refund since no customer service reps had arrived yet ( I had to go to work so was not possible) or swap for new milk gallon but could not guarantee it was not spoiled. Best Part, Walmart rep said 17 people had already returned milk, and that they knew they got a spoiled shipment. So instead of throwing out the spoiled milk, they were allowing customers to play guess if its spoiled or not with their milk purchase. Poor Customer Service, inconsiderate asst. manager Lisa I had gotten an extra tank of propane gas for a cookout and was told I could return the extra tank to get my deposit back. When I tried to return the empty propane tank for the deposit, Lisa (Asst Mgr) refused. She stated she would give me a refund on the "gas" but not the tank!??? I was returning the tank, not the gas... there was no gas to return, how asinine! Apparently she does not know what she is doing or either Walmart has stopped taking back the tanks... in either case she should have explained rather than just offering a refund for an item that was not being returned (gas). This Walmart is pretty small, but it had everything on the list and more. However, the reason I'm writing this review is because the customer service was AMAZING!!! I've never seen such happy, efficient, and helpful workers (at a Walmart - anywhere, and I travel A LOT) in my entire life. My tot accidentally broke a souvenir (messy snow globe), and before I even had a chance to get her in the cart and think to look for assistance, I heard an announcement for cleanup, a manager showed up from the right, and another worker with a broom walked up from behind me -- all with smiles on their faces and had it picked up in less than a minute! Then I turned the corner and doubled right back, and there was a maintenance man happily mopping the floor -- talk about efficient! The place was crazy busy, but we were checked out (and had a lovely conversation with our cashier) in minutes - amazing! read more

Came here from out of town and it was the BEST Walmart experience I've ever had!! Everyone was so nice and helpful, multiple people asked if I needed help. The guy in the produce section went to the back and got things for me twice and had such a good attitude! Small-mart. Its the only one around this area so its usually pretty packed. Problem is, they don't have anything. It is lacking variety in the electronics department, i mean seriously lacking. Not even a legit DVD/Blu-ray selection and forget about games and software. I get it, its small but why even bother putting it there if you can't get what you need. I have yet to meet a friendly cashier, most people tend to ignore you and don't even make eye contact. I don't like having to ask if its time for me to pay or not, and when you do slide your card ahead of time they get rude. If you have read any of my other reviews i value customer service and this place has none. I had 1 gentleman help me once who was incredibly kind and knew how to help customers in need. And for that, i thank him. Aside from that one gentleman, he one think that kept me from giving this 1 star is that they actually have a decent produce selection. Fresh with variety, strange for a store where just about every other department is lacking. Since its the only "Walmart" within 35 minutes of this area (deep in Destin or Panama City Beach) you're left with no options. read more

Friendliest Walmart employees on the planet! Went in a few days before Christmas and was greeted and offered help from almost every employee. On the other hand a couple of days later I stopped in Pub!1& and not a single employee greeted us until we were checking out. Not only that but the man stocking the bacon barely made room when I indicated I needed a pack of bacon. I absolutely dread going to this Walmart. It's too small and never has the items I need, so I end up going to the Destin Walmart or Publix. You can't use your Walmart credit card for the Murphy's gas station (because it's not "on property"). The station is across the street, because there is no room to put it in the parking lot of "small mart". Both Walmart's (Destin & SRB) are never prepared for spring break. EVERY year they act like they are caught off guard by the spring breakers and they run out of peanut butter and jelly along with a lot of other things. It's really annoying! Btw, when CVS & Walgreens have Coke (12 packs) 3 for $10 you should change YOUR prices. Why would I pay over $4.00 for a 12 pack of Coke at your store? Same with milk. Your milk is overpriced! Worst Walmart on the planet. Great for tourists. Horrible for locals. We now drive past this Walmart and drive the extra 30 minutes to get to the Walmart in Destin or Panama City before going here. Every time we waiver from our rule we are disappointed. A few of the items the do NOT have. Plastic boxes for files, MERCON transmission fluid, tires, penne pasta, and limited selections of pasta, shampoo, cosmetics, arts and crafts and baby supplies. If you need the VERY basics then this Walmart will do. Beer, Fishing gear, Gatoraid. Tourist junk. Otherwise hit the Publix down the street or drive to Destin where I used to think it was bad. read more

I need a moment to vent....as I'm sure this is not the first time this type of situation has occurred. I ordered several items online from Walmart and based on the total cost the delivery from ups or fed-ex was to be free......however Walmart out sourced my delivery to 'Door-Dash'. Now this is fine, I don't care who delivers the items ..........my issue is that I got several phone calls from the delivery driver and then he started sending me text messages stating that he could not find my address......he claims I entered the wrong address .......which I didn't ...........NOW UNDERSTAND .....I'M AT A NEW JOB...........Now I'm getting phone calls from his supervisor from a ''restricted'' number leaving me messages that if I didn't answer my phone that the items would be returned and I would need to go pick up the items at the store myself..........DON'T MAKE THIS MY PROBLEM........YOU HAVE A HELP DESK FOR THESE ISSUES ......DO YOUR JOB......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally the driver finds my location ......and leaves the items...not bagged and not boxed at my front door.....in an apartment complex where I have temporarily moved.......AND THEN the ''Door-Dash '' supervisor calls me AGAIN to see if my items had been delivered. ''''''I DON'T KNOW.......I'M AT WORK''''''''''''''QUIT CALLING ME ...............'7' TIMES......LET ME REPEAT MYSELF....................'7' TIMES THEY CALLED ME.......THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE............Walmart.....I'm not here to do your job for you....this was the most horrible experience I've ever encountered.
