My last ATTEMPTED pick up was January of 2026. We have to drive almost and hour to get to this store, and we do it ONLY to save money, and honestly it's not even worth the hassle anymore. We pulled up to the window 10 mins before they closed for only a pick up. NOTHING ELSE. The big dark haired guy in glasses came to the window and said he would b right with us. After that he didnt come back. But we could see him and the guy he was working with peeking around the counter to see if we were still sitting there. then at 8:00 he walked up to the window and just hit the button to put the shutter down across the window to close everything down. I was so mad. literally all he had to do was hand us the bag and swipe my card. LITERALLY would have only taken 1 min and we would have been gone. To say "we will be right there" but then hide and peek out at us is one of the most ridiculous things that has happened to me in customer service. meijer needs to do better with their help and actually check in on cameras sometime. I'm guessing they would b appalled at how customers were treated and the things their help gets away with. They didn't know if the meds were something we truly needed or if not having them would land us in the hospital or not. People like that should not work ina place with that much power over someone's life. It's actually dangerous. Since then, 3 of the 4 of us that had scripts there have been moved to a different pharmacy and the last will be done this month. As long as that guy is there, I will never, NEVER, let him be so callous or a threat to my family Again.

Prescriptions are almost always ready in a few hours. Sometimes you can walk in and have it filled right then. To be honest: It took years before I 'bothered' to venture into Modern Pharmacy. Why make a…read morespecial trip downtown when you're probably going into Walmart/Walgreens already anyway? Everything. That's why. Each time I have called around to check prices on prescriptions, Modern's are the lowest. They also have excellent prices on well-chosen supplements and vitamins. They provide the option of good-quality generic brand cold/flu/allergy medicines at very reasonable prices. Wait a minute- I thought low prices were the draw of the big box stores! The shelves don't *look* as full as the bigger chain pharmacies, but, sure enough, I have never gone in looking for something and NOT found what I need. Their customer service is in a different league altogether and for that they deserve more than just a five star rating here on Yelp. They do compounding. They will special order if possible. They are always available for consultation. The list goes on... There's no comparison. Modern is the best pharmacy around.

Location: On highway 17 across the street from the beer store in a small plaza Parking: Free and a lot of it The Goods: It's a Weston company grocery store like loblaws. It may be called valumart but don't fool yourself into thinking you'll find any value. It's pretty pricy and if something is on sale they get short changed on delivery. Thanks loblaws group. The staff: Everyone is really nice and a lot of people work there so you can always find someone to help So like I said, it's the only grocery store in town so you kinda need to use it regardless. 4 of 2019

Ie In the south, or bigger cities you will find sour cream is 1.99 - this store $2.50! That is just 1 item. Cheese is also over priced with similarly higher prices. Milk & sugar is same as south for obvious reasons. No Name vegetable or bean cans, priced at .99 down south is $1.25-$1.50 here. That is NO NAME! The produce is stupidly high priced considering we are surrounded by Amish & Mennonites who sell cheap at this time too. ie Amish cabbage price -$2-3.00 each any size. However, Value-mart in it's stupidity is 1.29 per pound. Cabbages can be $5-6 or more depending on size. Are you getting the picture here? Farmers markets & roadside stands are much better than these 2 stores. Broccoli & cauliflower as well as more are also similarly over priced. Selections are so so at best. They are both small stores. The same people own the Thessalon Value-mart which has the exact same over pricing & gouging. There is NO value at these VALUE MARTS. NONE, ZILTCH, ZERO. Even bread is 2 for $6.00 be warned, shopping here is a gouge. Neither store is really very affordable by regular folks who have no choice of where to shop if they can't get out of town to a bigger facility, ie Basics. Side note - other closest facility to shop is A No Frills in Elliot Lake at least price the No Name stuff correctly. There is a Foodland aka Sobey's there as well for variety. Bottom line is, try to avoid these two stores - Value-marts - if you can. They are making a ton of money from folks who haven't really got it to spend on food. Thanks for reading. Hope it helps.

I saw a Penney's store and a sporting goods store, even a Bed Bath & Beyond to my surprise. Across the road there's even a Walmart. The Marathon Gas station seems to be part of the center also and I think you can get money off on your gas if you shop at the Family Fare. I thought the gas price was pretty fair even without a discount. I had just researched gas prices on GasBuddy.com in the morning so I had a pretty good idea what the range was for this date.
