Every time I have eaten anything out of the deli I have gotten sick. I cracked a tooth on a chicken bone in a deli piece if "boneless chicken". They would not cover any dental costs unless I provided them that bone - which I swallowed. TERRIBLE management. Don't eat their deli food. read more

Staff wears masks and even though they say you have to have a mask to enter about 50% of people either don't have one on at all or pop it down. Just annoying that my shopping experience is longer because I have to avoid maskless patrons. Three stars for 2/3 associates being helpful and nice. read more

I've had good experiences with the Sparta, WI location. Pleasant employees, clean store, self-checkout on both grocery side and pharmacy/home goods side, and decent selection of organic foods. The biggest plus is grocery pickup. Tomah doesn't have it (as of March 2020) so they lose my business and I drive to Sparta or Black River Falls. Having mobility issues and a special needs child, grocery pickup makes a world of difference for me. The employees here do a great job at picking produce, meat, etc. and are very friendly. I'd highly recommend to anyone. read more

I stopped here on my way home from work to pick something up for dinner from the deli. No other customers at deli, 2 people behind the counter. Both of them looked at me and said nothing, not a hello or how can I help you. The guy walked past me 3 times and looked at me and never once asked if he could help me. He just stood there. The girl looked at me as she was putting stickers on food. Never once did she offer to help. Five minutes later she came over and asked what I wanted. I told her you both walked by me 3 times never once saying a word. I got what I came there for. In a snarky voice she said sorry for your wait have a great night. Seriously Walmart needs to hire people who don't stand around with their fingers up their butt. I told two CSR's but I doubt anything was done. read more

I am very angry with your fabric department in the Sparta Wisconsin store. Tonight I waited 20 minutes and even after asking two clerks to help I never got my fabric cut. How can you sell fabric if no one knows how to cut it. I happens every time I go in for fabric. Unfortunately there isn't another place to purchase fabric in Sparta. I get the same results at the store in Onalaska also. I work at a place that sells fabric and almost everyone knows how to cut it. read more

We were in Sparta for a night, we forgot something at home so we ran to the dreaded Walmart,Not the case! Our cashier was super friendly when there was a price discrepancy on an item for the gentleman checking out in front of us the front end manager was called for a price adjustment she was extremely pleasant and quick. I just had a very unpleasant experience at this establishment. I went in there with my other adult friend and her younger brother to buy an 8-pack of smoke bombs. I don't fully understand the policy, but regardless, the cashier was extremely rude to us. She refused to sell us the smokebombs because my friend's brother was only 16. He wasn't even buying them. We didn't make a big deal about it, and even continued to purchase our other items. However, she remained very snarky and very rude, continuing to push the idea of calling over a manager when we didn't even ask her to. Overall, it was just smokebombs. She didn't need to be so rude. read more

Just needed one item for a school project. I was in and out fast and got what I needed. The workers were friendly and helpful!

Had my oil changed and wiper blades replaced there. Two months afterwards one of my wiper blades flew off while I was driving in the snow, resulting in a scratch going across my windshield. When I went back there to see if they would replace the wiper blade, the manager was disgusted that I would even think since they installed it, they could be held responsible. According to him, "if they had installed it incorrectly it would have flown off immediately!" and "they could not be held responsible for natural disaster." Which could be true about the wiper blades, but I tend to doubt it since I had not driven my car or used to wiper blades much since getting them replaced. Simply replacing the 10 dollar wiper blade would have resolved the situation, but I guess Wal-Mart doesn't have that type of money to throw around. read more
