Clean store and it wasn't crowded, which made for a pleasant shopping experience. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the experience. I found several items in a clearance section where the entire row was marked with clearance price tags. However, when I got to the register, the items scanned at a higher price. Instead of acknowledging the confusion and investigating the issue, the employee insisted that the scanned price was correct, despite the entire section being labeled differently. If items are placed in a clearance area with clearance tags, customers should be able to trust the posted pricing. Walmart needs to do a better job of ensuring shelf labels match register prices and training staff to handle these situations with better customer service. read more

I have had multiple very different experiences at this Walmart, on the one hand I have found it to be less busy, well stocked and has a lot more of the seasonal items out that other Walmarts in more touristy areas (i92) but also have had less than ideal experiences with some of the staff here too. I would like to note that it is my preferred Walmart in the local area, but is not consistent enough to merit 4 stars. It's big, it has a liquor store and does not have the large section catering to tourists which is a plus. A mixed bag. read more

They've always had everything I need, even if I have to get on some employees to help me find it. The place stays clean and it's conveniently located close to where I need to shop, so thank goodness . Not much else to say. If you need it, Walmart likely has it. Let me start off by saying I hate coming to Walmart but today I came for "back to school" shopping and everyone was so friendly. I was looking for a box of crayons because they were 50 cents and some lady took all of them and this sweet employee went to the back and got some more. I also was looking for a water slip n slide and I asked a lady and even though she didn't know where they were she went and asked someone else. I really did appreciate her trying to help me. I like this store but my experience was just average unfortunately. I went to a cashier at check out because I had several items and I needed the help checking out. The cashier didn't greet me, never said hello or how are you! So I just let him ring up all my items not saying anything and then when it was time To pay he just pulled out his phone and proceeded to look at it while I was paying. Don't expect them to do anything pertaining to the outdoors if it's raining. Today's issue (yes because I've reported other days issues) is that I returned to my vehicle in the rain with my groceries and there was a line of 20+ grocery carts parked behind my vehicle with no employee in sight. I waited a few minutes, looked around, and finally called the store. I had to call 7 times because I continued to get disconnected. Finally, I decided to go in the store to get help. Customer service had the problem resolved in under two minutes (thanks so much guys!). On my way to my vehicle, people were waiting under the entrance for grocery carts because there were none. A fairly new Walmart in the horizon West area, which is perfect to pick up items if you're staying at nearby resorts, or hotels. There's also a few nice restaurants and shops around the area after you're done picking up your essentials here at Walmart generally, the Walmart is fairly clean has what you need but at times also can be quite disorganized and have items out of stock, but this is like what most Walmarts are. read more

This is the nicest Walmart that I have visited. The store is very clean and organized. There was a shortage of staff but that seems to be the new norm since Covid. I stopped in to purchase some spray paint and accessories to decorate for a party. Amazon was helpful but I needed to verify colors and size of items. The quality of my purchases was exactly what I expected for the price point. There was plenty of inventory and it was convenient to find so many different items under one roof. I had a very frustrating experience with the auto center. I paid for new tires upfront, but during the service they told me they couldn't complete the job due to an issue with my lug nuts. It was nearly impossible to reach them by phone, and when I finally did, they simply said they couldn't provide the tires. I took my car elsewhere and had the tires replaced without any issues. Weeks later, I'm still waiting on a refund for the tires I never received. read more

How DARE the woman at the dentist office say "only mom can come back" when both parents stand up who happen to both be women, making our sons first experience at the dentist the exact OPPOSITE of what we needed which was a calm, SUPPORTIVE environment. I stopped here for gas, wanting to get a bit away from Orlando. The area was really nice and the gas station was very popular (could use more pumps). I ran into the store for some road-trip snacks and this Walmart was exceptionally clean. Even the bathroom was surprisingly clean for a Walmart. This is by far my favorite Walmart. It has more of a feel of a Target, much cleaner and the staff is generally nice, compared to many other Walmarts. My only gripe is the few times I've tried calling since COVID, it's generally hard to get ahold of someone, but that's to be expected I guess. There is a Dunkin' inside this location which we used to frequent a lot. I'm not sure about now, but it used to get slammed. We haven't been since COVID. Recommend using the app for that, but I will say we preferred this Dunkin over the one we used to go to. My favorite feature with this Walmart is their pickup! I used to do in store but since COVID I always do curbside. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, since many do this now, but it's fine. Before COVID the pickup spots were always empty, not anymore! Seriously this is my favorite and one of the only ways I shop now. Their liquor store is great. It's sort of connected, but has a different entrance. They have wine, beer, and seltzer's in there too, so you don't have to also go into the store. I also get my gas at this Walmart. Never went to a Walmart with a gas station, but they have it all! Generally the prices here are good, but they get busy! They have a little gas station shop too, but I haven't really stopped in there other than for some gum on the way to the beach. read more

Unfortunately, no matter what time of day or who it is that goes in (myself or my husband) to refill our 5 gallon water jugs, something always goes wrong. If it wasn't for the fact that this location is close and has the least expensive water refill in the area, we would go somewhere else that won't make so many mistakes. This round our cashier charged me for 55 5 gallon jugs (I had 5) and was surprised when I told her the almost $80 bill was wrong. Of course at that point you have to wait for a CSM to come fix the mistake. The best part is watching the associates ignore the customers in the store. Offering a little assistance or asking if someone needs help would go a long way to help change the outlook on Walmart. read more

Even though it isn't a horrible Walmart it is consistently bringing out groceries late for pickup orders by absurd amounts (30 minutes.) They have a wide variety of stuff but it isn't anything you could find at any other grocery store. The value is pretty good although ice cream is constantly frozen and chips and stuff are not filled to the point they should be. One time we had a bag of croutons with only 4 pieces in them. I personally like this Walmart. It is fairly new; therefore, everything is still nice and shiny. I do think this Walmart is kind of cold, so bring a jacket if you get cold easily. I haven't had any problems here. I have had multiple employees say hello and ask me how I'm doing. Update: Since I come here so often, I wanted to talk about my latest experience. I had to return something but lost my receipt. I had used both items one time and didn't like either. She sighed very loudly each time. It's walmarts policy to return items within a certain date and refund them on whatever payment you paid with. If you do not have the receipt, they're supposed to still give you a refund, use your ID and put it on a gift card. I didn't appreciate her attitude. Then when I was checking out in self checkout, the gift card wasn't working and the lady in that area was more than happy to help me. Yet another day here and I'm starting to like this Walmart less and less. Again, I had to deal with the customer service desk. I forgot to use a coupon and asked if they could honor it. I came here and first of all, NONE OF THE WORKERS WERE ENGLISH. It took me 20 minutes to find an English employee. Also, I came here with my cousin, aunt, and grandmother and my aunt was pissed because she asked for a 5 pound bag of sand and the guy said it was in J15 but the sand was only 2 ounces. This place sucked. The only good thing is they look good. They didn't even have a damn bottle of brisk. And it's way overpriced. It costs about $4.50 for a small can of monster and a small donut. I'm genuinely pissed off at this and they need to fix their business. read more

Been there numerous times with no problems with staff, checkout, etc. Will confidently give this location a rounded up 4 stars from an average of 3.75 based on scoring below. Service: 3.5 stars- Same level of service with any Walmart but this one I really haven't had any concerns or issues with Customer Service, cashiers or stock personnel. Therefore, they get an extra .5 stars. Environment: 4 stars- Nice newer location and feel like they designed the store for the future crowds expected in this area with such growth. Plenty of aisle space and elbow room. Have seen a large uptick of people coming in, one reviewer noted, from people not necessarily around the Horizon West area. This is because it's newer and still is clean and polished as well as being maintained well at his time. Thank you Walmart Management and the entire team who have really done a great job since the new revamped management who are seeing how important it is to have live registers open for people who have a handicap. Going grocery shopping is hard enough. And using self checkout is extremely hard. Everything at this Walmart has changed! To finally be able to use a live registers and be greeted by a smiling associate made my day. I love the changes made and the point of service checkouts that have been beefed up with real humans. Helping the elderly and handicap with grocery bagging as self checkout for many people like me is unpleasant and turns into an ugly pain flare that lasts for days. I even received help getting my groceries in the car. All you have to do is ask. I love the changes and thank you Walmart for recognizing that customers have limitations. I was shopping at this particular Walmart on New Independence in Winter Garden, my clothes was damaged by bleach that was spilt on the shelf and I was told by Walmart that it was nothing they could do because they didn't know it was there. Yesterday (May 19, 2023 at 5:50 PM) I visited the super Walmart store at 16313 Independence Parkway in Winter Garden, Florida to return a wrong size pipe attachment. The person at customer service, Michael "Team Leader", was facing away busy working on a computer trying to figure out something for his other Walmart colleague. The colleague, who was watching him noticed me in the line and informed Michael who turned around... looked at me and said he'll be with me in a moment. I agreed and stood there waiting for minutes while Michael was not able to figure out whatever it was on the computer. Eventually I asked him if he could call someone else to help me. He said everyone is busy and he can't call anyone. I asked if he can call a supervisor who would be able to call someone. He said he is the supervisor. I asked "surely there must be someone higher than you who would be able to do that so I don't have to wait so long. He said the manager is not in store and there is no one higher and he turned around continuing his work on the computer. After waiting a little longer I called him: Sir... "no response", Sir... "no response", Sir [louder]... response was "I can hear you, you just have to wait" while still his back to me. Sir it will only take 10 seconds to return this and I've been waiting for minutes. At this point his colleague recognized that what they were doing is not as important for which to aggravate a costumer and perhaps his team leader's conversation with me while his back was turned to me is rude and demeaning, and left the room. Consequently, Michael had no choice but to turn around and tend to me. This young man's behavior was clearly disrespectful and deliberately done to show who is the boss! It is regretful for a large Walmart super store to a) promote a person who clearly has more worth for his "team leader" position than serving a negligeable customer who dares to demand service, b) fails to teach their associates that a store does not exist without its customers and they owe their jobs to the customers, c) allows a young junior to play power over the customers, d) leaves a large store like this one at the helm of a junior staff who is way too full of his management position. read more

Worst "Pick Up" from parking lot experience. Makes you sit in your car for more than an hour. What's even more worst is it's not even first come first serve. I was sitting for more than an hour and a lady pulls her car next to me, waits for 5 minutes and when the guy is delivering in other car, she goes and talks to him, and after 2 minutes the guy comes back with her stuff. I mean what the heck, I checked in an hour ago and you're bringing groceries for someone who just showed up???? I drive specifically to this location due to the cleanliness and customer service and variety of products they have here. Everything is well organized, shelves stocked, check out lines are never long. I find that all of the food and associated products are well in stock and always fresh. The layout of the store is also very functional, I highly recommend going to this location! There is also a Dunkin' Donuts on site (which is a fantastic added benefit). read more

They have people walking the aisles picking out groceries but when you pick them up it's impossible for you to pick up groceries YOU PAID FOR ALREADY. Save yourself the trouble order off Amazon and get it delivered to your door in two hours. Even Shipit will bring it straight to you. When this location first opened it was great, but it has sadly gotten way busier and gone way down hill. This most recent trip was the tipping point. The store was messy, unorganized, and several items we purchased had no prices listed. It looked as if it it was Black Friday. To top it off, while waiting in line the gentlemen in front of us was not wearing a mask and the cashier did nothing to correct him. The best thing about this Walmart is the Dunkin Donuts. Otherwise, be prepared for awful customer service - which I suppose is expected. Perfect example; the Customer Service Department closes at 10p, yet the store is open 24 hours. Two days before Christmas only one side of self check-out is openwith a line stretching back midway down the grocery department. Only two check out lanes open - 10 to 12 carts deep on each side. But you still have your typical annoying Walmart customers that clog up isles for no reason, screaming kids, and employees hanging out out front of the store being obnoxious. And let's not forget; super slow lines. There was no one there but they managed to create long slow checkout lines. Only Walmart. The associates were nice though. Even one greeted us and that was odd bc most Walmart associates could care less if you're there. But the long slow line ruins the whole experience. I love this Walmart. It's brand new and everyone here is so friendly. You can actually take your time shopping and enjoy your experience. They have everything you need and of course everything you don't. Gas station located on premises. Lately I've received better customer service than Publix. I know it's new and everything is great, let's just hope it stays the same as time passes. read more
