There's no air conditioning. How are you supposed to grocery shop without air conditioning? I asked the first manager and as kind as she was, she falsely claimed it was from being near the front door - which was completely inaccurate as I had already made my way to the back and was starting to seriously sweat. When I couldn't take it anymore, as I was starting to feel nauseous, I headed out the front where another manager admitted that they had no AC and they knew someone was coming to work on it. Since our Publix in Metrowest is closed for renovations, this is one of the Publix we go as an alternative. This one is the better alternative as it is pretty spacious and clean. Once you enter, the produce and bakery greets you. There is a great selection of prepared products like salad, sandwiches, and even meal items near the bakery. The produce area has plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. In the meat and fish department, I love buying their take and bake meals. No prep needed... Just in the oven for some amount of minutes and you are done. I also love the bogo and other discounted offers they have. Even though Publix can be expensive, I still was able to save 20 dollars today from their deals. And most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. They indeed make shopping a pleasure. This is in the Cascades of Ilseworth shopping plaza, so this is where more higher income people shop. It isn't too crowded either, so getting in and out isn't difficult at all. Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I come here at least once a week to get groceries and everyone is so nice but it seems that EVERY time I go to the deli to get any sort of meats all the ladies that work in the deli give me attitude. Today I walked over to the deli and this lady was talking to 4 other coworkers and I was standing there for a while and wasn't even greeted and she looked at me and I finally said "can I get a pound of Publix Swiss". She doesn't say anything and hands me half a pound of the cheese and I said "I asked for a pound, not half a pound" and she snatched the bag back from me. Then I asked for one pound of Publix turkey, and she looks at me and goes "half a pound" and I'm like "nope one pound!" So I get my turkey and guess what? She gave me 1.25lb. At this point I'm so annoyed with her so I walk away. Every department is amazing except the deli. The ladies are not attentive and apparently can't do their job. Other than that the cashiers and baggers are extremely nice and friendly! I have a one year old son and I love that in the fruit and vegetable section they let kids take bananas, apples and oranges for free to snack on while shopping. read more

This Publix is the closest to my home but we do not come here often. I wanted to wait outside and write this review while the Mr checked out. Not sure why they don't have benches like the other Publix we go to do - seems strange to me. Anyway rest of store is like the rest - clean, stocked, easy to navigate etc. We don't usually come to this one as a couple of times the Deli department has not been as quick as our other store. Today we are going to a Yelp event in this center so stopping in for my favorite Publix Buffalo Chicken Sub on multigrain bread. Soooo yummy!! If you have not had one... run!! The managers, cashiers, and baggers are always lovely here. The sandwich area can be hit or miss. Honestly, I stopped getting sandwiches because they are not quite what they used to be at this location. The people in meat are very helpful. But I've gotten meat that tasted old several times. I have not had the same experience at other grocery stores in the area. The produce is always fresh and beautiful. They often have samples and the people serving are always very friendly. The people in the bakery are always awesome as well. Really, I took a star away because of the hit or miss meat. And another star away for the declining sandwich area. read more

"Welcome to Publix!" Wait... Did an employee just greet me at the door? YES! Not only did I stand there stunned, but I almost cried at the fact that an employee AT A GROCERY STORE greeted me when I walked in!! Shoot, I don't even get this level of service from the highest of quality businesses! Maybe I'm overreacting and this is normal, so let's move on... Overall, I had a great time and experience at Publix. The outside was nice and the inside looked like any other grocery store. The selection was wide and they sold everything at a pretty decent price. I decided to try out some pastries from this Publix and I was surprised at how good they were! They almost beat Shopper's Grocery donuts (Northerner Store Reference)! If you are passing by and just need some things, then this is the place to go! The employees are some of the nicest in Orlando. Plus this Publix is just out of reach of most tourists! (Let me just end by saying that not many people in this area know how good these Publix's are! I love this store!!! The staff are always helpful and friendly and the selection it terrific. The shelves are nicely arranged and rarely is this store out of what I'm looking to buy. It's got to be tough to compete with a larger chain discount store just a block away, but this Publix is managing to do so with great customer service and selection. The question my company asks when it comes to revenue sales and retention is whether our customer is willing to pay just a little more for the same product because of great customer service? My answer to THIS Publix store is a huge YES! I enjoy the 'buy one, get one or two' sales and that more than makes up for paying additional cents on something else I'm purchasing. This store is very, very well managed! So, kudos to the store manager for encouraging excellent customer service from the wonderful staff. Also, thank you for keeping your parking area adequately cleared of empty shopping carts. This is truly appreciated by my hubby and his crazy LT1 or SS or whatever his car is called. He won't go to other stores due to parking his precious car somewhere that it might get dinged by a cart, so great job. I LOVE that you put the firewood out before a cold snap, too. I don't watch the news much, so it's a good 'heads-up' for me to purchase wood for the chilly nights in winter. I also LOVE your bakery. If I need a cake, I can speak to the bakers and decorators and they manage to come through with EXACTLY what I hope to receive!!! The decorator took a plan that I had drawn on paper and created the PERFECT cake for my hubby's birthday. It was original and everyone loved it!!!! So tasty, too! I also appreciate being able to purchase a little decorating frosting when I was just too lazy to make my own. It solved my time crunch problem, too. I made the cake and ran out of time to make 'bright white' so you saved me!!!!!! All things considered, I can't think of any other Publix I would rather go to than this store. We have 2 neighborhood Publix stores but this is our go to one from the house (the other is our go to from the office). We do our "heavy shopping" here. Publix stores seem to have 2 basic layouts and this one has my favorite of the 2. It's a basic grocery store with decent produce and meats but lacking woefully in fish and seafood. The people who work here are really really great. I am always surprised by the fingertip knowledge of the people when I ask where something is. I have never asked someone for something and not had them at least offer to walk me there. Only occasionally can I persuade them I understand fully and now know where to look and convince them I do not need an escort. Check out is usually quick and efficient. I really love my checkers and I like to think they at least sort of recognize me! The baggers are also well trained and efficient. I am always asked if I want help out and I always decline because I am able and think about the person with a few kids or the older person behind me who should not be lifting bags (at least not twice - here and at home). Nice sales and overall decent prices. There is also often a person cooking up a recipe by the bakery and, though I have not taken advantage, my parents almost always do when they visit. They don't have anything like this back home. I used to H-A-T-E going to the grocery but now - well, I don't mind as much. *feeling fortunate* read more

Wish I could've done3.5 Stars, this visit we arrive at 8:48/850pm. I thought we had enough time but no there was a sign on the door saying they will close at 9pm for remodeling. We were going there for the fresh subs but they were already closed. Other option was premade sandwich which they only had one a Cuban or sushi. So we got one of each, even though they were closing in 10 minutes I didn't feel rushed and the employees were very pleasant. When checking out the cashier was very pleasant and was carrying on a conversation with us and not just. Rushing us along. I will go back just make sure if you want a sub to get there at least an hr before they close read more

I like this location, but the two in Dr Phillips are a lot better. I feel like some of the items are priced higher than other Publix's I've been to. Also, they don't always display the sales tag on a lot of the items that are on sale that week. read more

I have been to this public a couple of times. It is nice because it carries health food items that you would normally find at a whole foods. I can go to this public instead of driving all the way to whole foods. Although whole foods is cheaper for some of the items the connivence is the best. The have a mini health food section where you can find vegan and gluten free items. read more
