Back when I would use them to fill prescriptions, they were always the nicest people. I'd usually prefer to go inside rather than the drive through window... unless I happened to arrive when no one else was in line. Depending on what the cars ahead of you needed, you could be sitting there a while. I moved away a few years back, but I still stop in from time to time. Usually when I forget to take allergy meds and need to grab some before heading to meet friends and family. Overall, this place is crazy busy but they get the job done and they do it nicely.

The tech put me on hold and came back, stating her AND the pharmacist wanted to inform me this medication was NOT birth control, it was ONLY to regulate hormones. A quick google search shows it's literally birth control... I attempted to correct her but she wasn't hearing it. It's terrifying that they're misinforming customers and aren't bothered by it. I was forced to get my meds filled here because of insurance but I've never had a pleasant experience. Staff is always rude and will close the window in your face for their lunch break, without any acknowledgment.

Not sure if it's a good one or bad one, but it IS one. In a small town with only two grocery stores, Walmart fills a really big need for this community. On top of providing a third place to get groceries, it also has everything else imaginable (for the most part). They have a garden section, an auto department, a pharmacy, heck they even have a "crafts" section with fabric. While I don't live in Zanesville anymore, I do visit often and a trip here from time to time is unavoidable. There is plenty of parking available, the staff is fairly friendly, and prices are the cheapest in town. Pro tip - Visit the locally owned spots before heading here, please at all costs. For example, I never get booze here because Winerack deserves it more.

I love that they are doing that, but as a former HomeCare Nurse manager and QA manager, this much needed step, especially for our aging population, is just a step. As my nurses saw too often, especially if a patient had been hospitalized followed by a rehab or NH stay, and maybe was still stressed from health changes and with the normal cognitive declines as we age, like executive function, it takes more than a phone call to insure best outcomes concerning meds and health management. Pill planners need to be assessed for changes made after a hospital stay. Discontinued meds removed? Changes in dose or frequency made. All new meds obtained and placed in the planner. Is the person able to carry out taking their meds as ordered? Do they need reminder help? Any patient with complex health issues needs a Home Care RN in their home within 24-48 hrs. after discharge to help them stay out of the hospital!

They always have really great deals with their Plenti Points program. When I go in the store, they always greet me with a "hello" and ask me if I found everything okay when checking out. They always have their sale items marked (which is something that other stores sometimes don't always do). They make it very easy to save money. Whenever I check out, the staff is always very kind. As a couponer, they are always very nice about my coupons. If I have ever a problem with a coupon, this store will make sure to resolve the problem anyway that they can. I haven't ever been to the pharmacy--but as for the store, it is incredible. I believe that the Zanesville Rite Aid has truly earned 5 stars.
