I had a very disappointing experience with America's Best. I went there a few months ago (around…read moreFebruary or March) and paid about $130 for a contact lens exam. Recently, I went back to get a copy of my contact lens prescription so I could order more contacts, and they refused to provide it. Instead, they told me I needed to pay for another exam, even though it hasn't even been a year since my last one. After paying for an exam, I expected to receive my prescription and be able to use it during its valid period. Being told I had to pay for another exam just to get access to my prescription felt unfair and very frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location.

I…read morepicked out large old school black plastic frames that I was told would be custom adjusted when I picked them up. The first pair was tight along the sides of my head, and the ear curves were forward of being able to sit around my ears. The "expert" took the frames to the heating machine and softened up the plastic over the nose area, then bent that in and the corners forward! Changing the angle of the lenses, which I asked "won't that change my focus and vision? They will make me crosseyed?" She said that this shouldn't affect my vision. (???) Then the temple parts that were curved forward of resting on the curve of my ears, she unbent and rebent them several times. I asked her to at least use the heat to soften them up. After possibly 10-12 times of me asking for adjustments that weren't happening, I ended up leaving in frustration. Each side has multiple tight zig-zag bends along the length, that look obviously bizarre, and don't even match each other. It was like she'd been given very little training on adjustments for men's heads. I purchased two sets of glasses. I didn't let her attempt to adjust the other set. If you try on glasses, that will need some adjustments after the lenses are made, don't trust the salesperson who reassures you that they can easily be fitted to your head when you pick them up
