I love the idea of a vision center in Walmart, it makes it super convenient for someone with a mega busy schedule like myself. This location has been inside this Walmart for as long as I can remember. And I've only been here maaaaaaybe four times and that was because I needed an appointment to update my contacts and my ophthalmologist had retired. Overall, the staff is ok. They're knowledgeable but are not always the most welcoming. The appearance of the office is pleasant. They recently updated the decor so it's more modern looking. I'd give them a higher rating if the doctor was more personable. Every time I've seen him for contacts he is always in a bad mood and seems like it's an inconvenience to conduct an eye exam. When I went back and part of my follow up appointment he asked where I got the lenses I was wearing. I explained they were the trial pair he gave to me during the initial exam. He then explained he was irritated because he couldn't find the identifiers on the lenses... like it was my fault Like I said, if the dr had a better attitude and made an effort to be personable with the patients I would have given them a higher rating. read more

Dr. Shilling was friendly and helpful, as was the staff. I was in and out in less than an hour, but he still took the time to answer all of my questions. They have a pretty cool camera that takes pictures of the inside of your eyeballs (Yeah, I'm a sucker for technology). I do wish they had a slightly bigger selection of frames. It seems that most of them were geared toward teens or older adults (re: Bowling Green's entire population). But they were cheap. Since Karen Himelhan joined the team in the landscape design department, her negative and confrontational communication style has overshadowed the excellent work the grounds crew consistently provides. I've used Northbranch Nursery for landscaping services at both of my homes, and anytime I've raised questions about billing or addressed concerns regarding the work, the response has felt defensive and combative rather than collaborative. When paying nearly $4,000-6,000 for a service, I believe customers are justified in asking questions or expecting concerns to be addressed professionally. Unfortunately, instead of listening and working toward solutions, Karen often appears focused on finding loopholes or excuses to avoid responsibility. The tension this creates is noticeable -- even staff members seem uneasy when she arrives on-site. That's unfortunate because everyone should be working toward the same goal: a beautifully landscaped property, a positive working relationship, and a professional, knowledgeable team that values customer service and communication. At the end of the day, successful businesses rely on customer loyalty, positive word of mouth, and strong service standards. I hope Northbranch Nursery takes these concerns seriously because the quality of the actual landscaping work deserves better representation. Mark M.

The nursery has a large wholesale base and is huge. Lots of nursery landscapers were working the greenhouses and tree lots. The tree farm is all around. At the counter Josh had the paperwork. A forklift put the tree in the bed of my pick up. Josh secured it with the bungee cords I brought, and gave me paper instructions on watering and staking the tree. The 45-minute drive was worth it.
