When I think about Walmart, what do I think about? I think about freedom; Specifically, I think about freedom from the tyranny of other stores who don't offer everyday low prices guaranteed. That's right, every day low prices... Guaranteed! Walmart offers the most hassle-free price match system I have ever used. I just bring in the flyer from the competitor store and show it to the cashier when I am checking out with the item. I walked in with a flyer showing a cheaper price on breakfast cereal, I walked out with a cheaper price on breakfast cereal. No arguments and no complaints. When I walk through the front door, under the clock tower of this big box store, I am always welcomed by the friendly greeters. I know it's cool for some folks to bash Walmart, but take the time to come to the store and make up your own mind - you may find that you are getting some of the Walmart freedom for yourself! read more

WalMart - Front Entrance, St. Jacobs Walmart - Department Stores Near Me - Waterloo, Ontario

I never thought I'd be giving a WalMart a four star review, but then again, I had never been to a Canadian WalMart before. You see, the Canadian WalMart is drastically different from their American counterparts. I'd compare the store more to be Target quality. - The store was clean, organized, and offered quality, stylish products. - The aisles were not clogged with dozens of obese people on motorized scooters. - Children were not running around unsupervised, flailing their arms. And they were all wearing shoes. Waterloo Walmart has a line of clothing called George. Leggings, sweaters, yoga pants, I stocked up on all of these as they were all under $15.00. I also found unique flavors of spices like Chipotle Mango and Garlic Parmesan. Then I grabbed products that we don't have in The States, like ketchup chips, pickle chips, and plum sauce. I was also able to buy a nice dishtowel set for $2.50. In the US, dish towels are sold individually for some reason. I never thought one of the highlights of vacation would be Canadian WalMart, but I loved stocking up on things here. read more

This Walmart is not kept clean ,seems to be always in disarray. Not Like many supermarket stores there are no wipes at the entrance and many carts have garbage in them. I needed help with a carry out ,it took the cashier 3 times to get a response ,taking up to 5 minutes. The store is over crowded with staff, they are in every Ilse, two or three in each isle and they are standing close to eachother and won't move!! You can't back up because there's arrows on the floor directing you so you don't get sick but the staff don't care, they pass by you with in inches. You back up and they just keep coming forward. You tell them to stop, please back up and they shrug and laugh looking at each other. They run around like they are on drugs, excited for nothing, big smiles because they are in your personal space and don't care if they make you sick and die. Even the management blocks whole isles so customers can't get around safely. You people are rude, the bathrooms are dirty! Your staff act like they are at summer camp, masks pulled down under chin, touching everything. read more

I bought a blanket for my daughter $90 it was not how the picture showed it was horrible the quality was bad and the stitches worse. I been trying to contact Walmart over the phone emails Walmart.ca but no body have the courtesy I even tried the news system that Walmart suppose to call you back 5 times I tried but no one return my answer. So I finally said to my self I will spend days I don't care so I call and call so finally I got through. I explained I purchased that blanket and now Walmart tell me is not taking it back I have to return to the third party. They did not give a phone number to the third party. So I got it my self. I call bunnyberry and they told me. No return. Do I said I have the return policy in front of me. He said ok send. I asked to please send me a return label bunnyberry said I had to pay. I went to the post office $55 is much is the blanket. The person who I spoke in bunnyberry never explained to me how I would get my money back. Walmart is not been clear about return policy. I also purchased 2 shelves and I only got one.how is posible Walmart sent me only one when I payed for both I sent too many emails talked to associates trying to contact Walmart but not luck no body seem to care ones they get your money. I would appreciate a phone call to let me know what ever happened seen I purchased the items 2 months. The Waterloo Walmarts: Always welcoming you with mounds of floating garbage in their parking lots due to no one cleaning up and overflowing garbage cans. Other than this, I do like this location. Spacious, lots of parking and a decent amount of cash lanes open. read more

Large center that is clean and well organized. Not nearly as crazy as the ones in the States and plenty of friendly staff.

We live near Fairway Rd now, but still drive to THIS Walmart in Waterloo. The staff are all the most friendly, helpful people, and go out of their way to help. The prices are the most competitive around, we've had zero complaints about quality on anything we've purchased there, and all in all it's probably our most used store. The grocery prices aren't the best unfortunately, and are easily beaten by No frills or Freshco, (but they are ALOT better than Zehr's or Sobey's by a mile,) but apart from groceries and produce, in all other areas they can't be beat. Best pricing, best staff - what more could anyone want. Furthermore if another store has an item on sale, you only have to show it to someone and they will instantly price match. The store is clean, well organized and pleasant to shop in. Never a parking problem in their huge lot either. Recommended! read more
