Canadian Walmart is so different, everything was much organized and I felt it a bit compact on space, of course price tag a bit higher too, if not a bit more expensive than their American counter part, who still sell iphone 11 pro max case for $20? Maybe Target, but never Walmart, it should be $5 or less at US Walmart by now; their shopping cart has a device for you to input $1 in order to use the cart, yep they charge you a dollar to rent their shopping cart, never seen it anywhere, I mean I saw what they did in the US where they put sensor on the cart so if the homeless won't steal it out of the parking lot, because the cart will be locked before you can take it, this is a little strange for me. But to make it up for that, their toy department seems well stocked. read more

Came here to buy some vegetables. Parking is available in front. Nice large lot. Strangely enough, the vegetable section doesn't sell prewashed chopped broccoli. Yet this product is available if you buy as one of those raw veggie trays with 5 other items. It would be nice if they let you pick and choose what you want, as opposed to forcing you to buy bundles. As for the rest of the store, it's pretty consistent with the other location around town. read more

I asked for a sale that was going on. I went late at night and asked if they can hold the tv until the following day (morning). I was told yes; to speak with customer service. So; I do and they said it's not allowed only for the fully day. That all made no sense. The following day comes; I am on my way to go get the tv and ask if they can put on hold as I am wanting to purchase it. The guy tells me there is no more on the floor but will check in the back, I said that's crazy because I went there late last night and there was over 10. Anyways, I get there and the tvs are on the floor. The worker called me back and was trying to talk but I said just letting you know the tvs were on the floor. He said that he isn't allowed on the floors. Then, I asked the worker to bring to electronics so I can purchase it BUT I will be back for it later on as I had to get back to work. The worker agreed, I paid for it and then I said okay well I already told the worker I'd be back later cause I have to work. They said try not coming too late because we didn't know (but I asked before buying it). So, 4 hours later, someone called me from Walmart asking if I was coming to get the tv.. what's going on etc. I said I told you guys I'd be back for pick up later as I had to rush back to work and two staff said okay. The manager comes on the phone; saying yeah they said you were still shopping in the store and didn't know what was going on (when you were coming etc). I This is my thing, if you don't know the correct information don't assume. If you cant go on the floor (which you're able to see those tvs from electronics), don't tell customers false information.. just tell them the real answer. AND, all the staff aren't on the same page and all don't communicate well with each other if I was told yes by one and no by the other etc. *this was the Mcphillips location* read more

Typical Walmart. Crowded, but lacking staff. Strange, dirty washroom smell permeating throughout, even in the McDonalds. The "greeters" don't always pay attention. This one middle aged lady, who was feet in front of me, as she was leaving set off the metal detector. I stopped in front of customer service, well away from the doors so the "greeter' could stop her and check her items. Instead the greeter, who wasn't watching who set off the alarm, came over to me. Even after explaining that it was the lady ahead of me, who was already walking out into the parking lot, the greeter just looked at me and was like "yeah, yeah. Let me see your receipt." I felt like she was profiling and discriminating me. The portrait studio is a joke. The staff are very snobby and judgmental. This one girl sneered at me when I wanted to get me and daughters portraits and she was trying to get her coworker to do it instead. This girl admitted she didn't know what she was doing. Incompetent and under qualified staff. Then when it was time to pay for the portraits she upped the price. I was on a strict budget and told what the price was going to be and it ended up not being anywhere near the quoted price. I left with no portraits. The washrooms lack privacy and cleanliness. The stalls have huge gaps and people can look right at you while you're doing your business. For some reason they do out of impatience, I guess. They are absolutely filthy. Some of the fixtures are damaged. There is no counter or hook to place your coat and purse while you wash your hands. The amount of staff working on the floors is more than other locations. One guy was very accommodating and helpful when I was trying to get a boxed shelf down. Some of the products are placed in hazardous places for the customer. The boxed shelves are heavy. VERY heavy. But they are placed on a high rack and must have been shelved with a forklift. When I went to go grab it I could have gotten injured, as I realized how heavy it was and had just let the box drop. It made a loud sound and the box tore and started falling apart. I wanted a better packed one, so I got an employee. The employee was having a hard time dispatching a machine for me to get the shelf down and he was even surprised at how heavy it was. But we managed to get into my cart. Walmart seriously needs to rethink how they stock their shelves before some hurts themselves. The produce is not refrigerated and goes bad quickly. Not an ideal place for grocery shopping for food. I go to Superstore next door. I'm not happy that the cashiers don't always deactivate the magnets so to not have paying customers set off the metal detectors. If you have a particularly large item that can't go into a bag, the "greeter" will stop you to check your receipt. Sometimes they will stop you in a rude, mean way. When you want to get a shopping cart, the "greeter" may treat you like your in the way of the cart gatherers and want you to stop taking a cart and just get out of the way first. Like, it only takes a couple seconds and I'm already in the cart parking area. Customers are not treated like valued customers. read more

Went online to purchase toner for my printer. I use paypal on the internet and do not have credit cards. I checked the price which was $19.95 delivered to the store. Due to family matters it was about a week later when I got onto the net to order and found the price had gone up $2.00. I had purchased a card card for $20.00 which cost me 26.95. This I could live with, but with the price up $2.00 I cannot purchase the toner and would have to purchase another card which is not economical. I e-mail Walmart requesting I get the toner at the first price I purchased the card for. This was two weeks ago. Week later email them again and at the end of two weeks have not heard back. But I did receive emails two days after my emails asking me how their service was. Sent replays explaining That I did not receive an answer on either emails. This is the worst public relations I have ever received from any other company. It is not the $2.00 it is the principal envolved. It will now cost 13.90 more to purchase the item. I decided after the first week I would not purchase a 55 inch t.v. I was looking at. went elsewhere and received great service. It was a small amount originally but I will not be buying much if anything at Walmarts in the future. Do not need the aggravation. read more

Lot very messy. Most of the ares set aside for plants dried up. Not a great addition to the neighbourhood. One store clerk remarked that all those frills not needed. Seems walmart is not interested in looking like a sucess. Store often out of producd. Reorder of product seems untimely. Constantly bugged to get their high interest credit card. Just introduced another custermer unfriendly charge. Bags are now charged for. Also carts need a dollar to activate , which is saving me money. I only buy what i can carry in my hands so a plus for me !!! Mostly i try to avoid this store as i find it unfriendly to customers. read more
