When I gave birth to my daughter I was lucky enough to have family who helped us take care of her. Once COVID hit I was not sure how I felt about putting my daughter in school but knew that she needed interaction with other children due to how shy she was and how upset she would get when my husband or I would go to work. Once my husband and I walked into Smith Mills Preschool we knew in that moment that they would be the ones who we trusted with our daughter. All the staff at this school are AMAZING and make you and your child truly feel welcome and at home. Once being enrolled my daughter has blossomed from a shy little girl holding my leg each morning to giving me a kiss and not noticing I'm gone at drop off. This shows me completely that my daughter feels safe and loved here. At pickup time she talks the whole way home about her friends, teachers and activities. It just warms my heart how loving, compassionate and open armed this whole school is. I hope each and every person who has come into contact with my daughter knows how truly grateful we are to them for taking care and treating our daughter like one of their own. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

The only reason this center has so many 5 star reviews on Facebook is because the director,…read moreMelissa, sent an email stating that in exchange for a 5 star review (had to be 5 stars) she would enter your family into a drawing of a free week of tuition. Really honest? I did not participate in this bribery! I've also never heard of so many visits from The Department of Early Education and Care to one place. Many many violations. Even a tuition freeze, which means violations were not corrected! That is really serious! This establishment is very poorly run...because of the director. From the way Melissa treats her employees (I've witnessed bully like behavior on multiple occasions, no wonder the turnover rate is so high, no one wants to stay because of her) to her very unprofessional behavior (does not respond to emails, and does not provide us with proper notifications on illness and will not even send out information for tax purposes!) to letting her awesome but overworked teachers be out of ratio when it is convenient for her (witnessed this multiple times, one of the many violations written up by the EEC) I'm not sure how this place isn't shut down? Melissa is very fake, please be aware that behind closed doors that care free, silly personality that she displays when is parents are around, is not the true her. Her Licensor also knows this. One positive is the teachers are really great! I feel sorry that they have to work under an unprofessional bully who more than half of the time breaks Massachusetts Labor Laws as well!

It's difficult for most parents to leave their child (ren) in the care of others, but CP makes it easier. A few things: the space could use some updating, but once you get past that they do so many great things with the kids, field trips, annual school show, singing, arts and crafts...on and on. I was surprised to not see any reviews so I wanted to get one out there. If I lived closer (we've moved) this would be a no-brainer for toddler no 2.

I had my child in this school throughout the summer program and I was appalled that they call this…read more3 ring circus a daycare center. The baby room had a mildew smell in it on the humid days. I washed my hands in the sink in the main room and all I smelt was sewer smell. I asked to speak to the director and I was told that she is hardly here anymore. The floors are always sticky and dirty. I always seen dead bugs scattered about the floor. My child said they aren't made to brush their teeth but I was told in the beginning they would be. The playground wasn't any better the toys were old and broken and faded from the sun there was cat poop in the sand box on numerous occasions. I think the outdoor toys are out dated and dangerous. I could not believe the amount of bees flying around the playground where the kids play I had to pull my child before she got stung from a bee because she's highly allergic. I will never tell anyone anything good about this daycare and I would recommend visiting one of the other 4 daycares just down the street.
