Was prescribed HRT by this practice 3 years ago for hot flashes and other symptoms related to a…read moreradical hysterectomy and menopause in 2015. Recently needed a refill and made an appointment with NP, Laura Tabor, as my regular doc has left the practice. When I went in, I expected we would have a conversation about my symptoms, how well I was responding to the medication and the exceptional benefits I was experiencing. Instead, I was told I needed undress and put on a hospital gown for an internal pelvic exam, a breast exam, etc.. When I declined, I was told "they cannot willy nilly write prescriptions" without these invasive examinations. I explained that this was an expense I could not afford, as I do not need a Pap smear and do not have a cervix, fallopian tubes or ovaries, etc. and therefore, have no risk of any of these cancers or STDs. Also had a mammogram the prior week as ordered by my primary doc so a breast exam is also an unnecessary expense. I explained that it's not "willy nilly" because I was in fact in the office having a conversation with a medical professional about my symptoms and can confirm first-hand the advantages and benefits the medication was having on me personally. I explained I was in great health and having no symptoms warranting a need for any physical examination. Further, she could ask me any questions she wanted to assess my situation and confidently be able to renew my prescription. Her response, albeit nicely, was that she could not renew my prescription and that I would have to a) submit to the unnecessary, painful and embarrassing exams, b) stop my medication or c) find a new doctor. I find this to be a form of medical extortion and am very disappointed. Whatever happened to caring, compassionate doctors who want the best outcome for their patients? All I find anymore is medical professionals who only care about upselling and the bottom line. Really sad.

On Monday after calling the office over and over (4x in a row) to have her actually answer the phone I tried to schedule an appointment for a problem my daughter was having. She said she'd check the schedule and call back. NO RETURN CALL. On Wednesday I called again (once again it took 5x of calling to get her to answer the phone). I told her she was supposed to call back Monday and how it was very frustrating to have to keep calling the office. Her response was "Oh the nurse should've called. Oh well, that happens". Are you kidding me??? She said my daughter could come in today at 2. My daughter showed up for the appointment and Linda walked up to her without a mask and went off on her about how I was rude to her. WHO DOES THAT????? She does NOT return calls and when you do finally speak with her she has this underlying snide tone in her voice. It makes me wonder why on earth she works there. She obviously hates her job or maybe her life. I don't know what makes someone so miserable and unprofessional work at a doctors office. Unless you have hours to waste I would look for a different doctor with staff who actually answers the phone and does their job. Trust me I'm not looking for anyone to bend over backwards or kill me with kindness but I am looking for someone who has a LITTLE CLASS AND IS A PROFESSIONAL.

This was billed separately from my exam. Cost $83 for a 5 minute discussion which I said I wasn't even worried about. Beware of discussing anything outside of normal exam as they will bill you for it. I'm wondering if I will be charged for discussing my grown child becoming a doctor.

They have withheld both prescriptions from me time and time again in order to force me to make a pap appointment. The most recent time was during COVID for Zoloft. They actually withheld it from me and said I had to make a pap appointment. Holding birth control hostage is bad enough, but an antidepressant? I was floored and will never go back to mainline health for anything. How irresponsible. You never ever mess with someone's antidepressants. You all should be fined and sued.
