There are no boundaries for abilities, because this is designed so children of all abilities can play together, whether the kids are fully able or have physical, sensory or developmental disabilities. The playground was opened in October 2002 and you'll find it off of Iron Horse Boulevard inside the Simsbury Meadows Complex. No admission and tons of free parking onsite. They have two playscapes, designed for kids aged 5-12 and another for kids aged 2-5. There's a ton of fun here - baby swings, slides, a sandbox, a huge Boundless playground, two pint-sized climbing walls and lots more. The playground surface is very soft and rubbery, sort of like walking on a wrestling mat. They have gazebo to sit and relax, and porta-potties for when that need arises.

I saw a huge field that is used for soccer. On the lake, you can fish and use non motorized boats; a boat launch is available. This recreation area is suitable for walking, jogging, hiking, cross-country skiing, biking, canoeing, bird watching, picnicing, and camping; for camping, you need to get permission from the Town of Avon. I walked the red trail then got off that trail halfway and walked by the well pump building; this brought me back to the parking lot. That walk was about 2.54 miles because I didn't want to do the bigger loop. On the AllTrails app, there are two trails in the park; Spring Lake and Fisher Meadows Loops. The walk was easy but there were some flooded and muddy areas. I have a feeling it is buggy in the summer but on this fine sunny March day, it was very pleasant except for getting my sneakers wet. Overall, a great space to enjoy the great outdoors.

This is a good spot to park your vehicle and go walking/biking on that trail. The playground was in good shape and it had swings, slides, ladders, etc. My toddler approves. I saw plenty of people walking their dogs. I did see dog poop near the softball field after my toddler stepped on it (Please clean up after your pets people). There were plenty of parking, bleachers, a bench, and a picnic table near the softball field. There were two benches near the playground. You can see the Hublein Tower from this park clear as day. Overall, a peaceful and lovely park that I discovered through Yelp; got to enjoy it on a warm (57 degrees) February day.

Two soccer fields, a football field, softball field, a small playground, a stash of outdoor lighting fixtures for night games, and a cut-through to a very nice Rails to Trails path. But maybe the coolest thing of all is a masonry building behind the fire station. You see, it gets set on fire several times a year for Fire Department training. Now that's something you sure don't see very often. There was no fire going on today, but we did see a few families using the playgrounds for their little ones. Over the years, we've seen the sports fields busy with youth teams and adult softball games. There's also a very funny sign urging dog walkers to clean up their Poochie's mess because "there is no Poop Fairy". We used the park's cut through to access the Rails to Trails path and walked over to Deer Park Road and back. What a fantastic town park to enjoy!

There's a trail that takes you down to a pretty pond, waterfall, and wetlands. There's a recreational bonanza of options, with an Olympic sized pool, tennis courts, two baseball fields, basketball courts, a football field, a park, a softball field, a skate park, two pavilions, a soccer field, wading pool, and playgrounds. Did Mr. gray hoodie clean up after Fido? Nope, he just ignored that steaming pile of dog doo, leashed up his dog when it finally sprinted over, and calmly walked away along East Hill Road. The selfish, careless, inconsiderate arrogance was incredible to witness. So, if you're playing out there on the fields, watch where you step.

There's a double swing you can put your small child in and you can sit on the swing as well; that was a first for me. A gem and I'm lucky to live close by and be able to use this establishment.

They also host birthday parties. General admission for kids 2 and older is $16.95, adults are free; if they have a sibling under 2, they are also free. I purchased the general admission ticket ($16.95) plus a pre-loaded $16 game bracelet for $26.95. Shoes are not allowed so socks are recommended. There was a snack area and tables for the parents. Restrooms were clean and had changing tables. The arcade area was small with an air hockey table, photo booth, and various arcade games. My toddler loved the dinosaur egg machine; there were toys inside those golden eggs. The playground has two levels and they were soft on the feet. The slides were steep but my son loved it; I can see why there's a disclaimer that it goes fast. There was an indoor go-kart track that my son also loved riding the little go-karts on; it went around the playscape. There were large Legos, blocks, a ball pit, a mini donut shop, ride on toy cars, and grocery store. We spent an hour and a half there and my son still didn't want to leave. My other son is a crawler, he still enjoyed the toys at the mini stores and the ride on cars. Overall it was 5 stars for my children and I; we look forward to going back and highly recommend it for kids 10 and under.

The park is crisscrossed by the Rails to Trails hiking path and walking paths that take you through residential backyards and the Buckingham neighborhood, complete with its town green, gazebo and social hall. The playground was crowded with young families enjoying the Spring like weather. One thing that really bugged me was the total disregard some dog owners had for the numerous signs that stated, "No dogs are allowed on the playing fields". I counted four dogs running free (off leash) on these fields, so I guess those signs don't apply to those who want to disobey them.

That all changed in 1971 when the new high school opened right next door. The park is still a nice place but definitely not as quiet and peaceful as it was during the first years of it's life. It can actually be difficult to find the park because of the large high school athletic fields right next door. The park does have two swimming pool, basketball courts, baseball field, soccer field, picnic area and lots of room for running around. Some really good hoops use to be played here in the past but I'm not sure if such competitive games around still around. One of the five neighborhood parks in West Hartford and perhaps the least known to people outside of the area. It still is a nice park to play some ball, go swimming and just spend some time outside.,

(Elvis Costello) There are four baseball fields in a park where Asylum Avenue and Trout Brook Drive meet in West Hartford. Three of the fields are used by the WH Little League. The fourth field is different. You might say it's a Miracle Field. This field was designed for physically and cognitively challenged players. The playing field is built with a soft rubberized surface that is fully wheelchair accessible. Instead of raised bases and a pitching mound, these features are painted into the field's flat surface. The  base paths, distance from the pitchers mount to home plate, and outfield fence distances are shorter than regular Little League fields. Other than these tweaks and accommodations, the Miracle Field looks very much like a  typical Little League field. Fundraising for the Miracle Field started in 2008, and through private, corporate, philanthropic and governmental entities, over $800,000 was raised to construct not only the field but a playground, restroom and concession facilities that were accessible to all. In 2012, the Miracle League Field opened as the first of its kind in New England. Their website says it's still the only one of its kind in Connecticut.

That's a score for us! There is a waiver to sign before entering. They have varying weekend hours open to the public, it's best to check their social media sites for updates prior to going. Shoes are not allowed while playing on the bouncy houses; make sure you have socks on. There was a toddler area for kids 3 and under; parents must take their shoes off in there. There were plenty of benches for parents to wait at while their kids played. There were about 8-10 bouncy houses and a playscape. There's an arcade and some tables in the lobby. I saw vending machines. My children enjoyed their time there. The hour was the perfect timing; my kids were tired out. It also seems like a good place to host birthday parties. Overall, I recommend it if you're looking for something new to do with the kids and if it's too cold or rainy out.

Bounce Town is a great place to have a children's birthday party. They make it easy. We had a very enjoyable time strolling on their trails and taking in the pretty scenery around its big pond. We saw a ton of features on the park grounds - a wood bridge over the water and a splash pad, playground and playscape where the kids were having a blast. We saw families hanging out at their grills and picnic tables, plus a Little League field, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts and a big swimming pool. The leisure and entertainment opportunities here are fantastic. What a great place to relax and enjoy!
