They sent a single letter, which raised the offer 50%, but had the lack of ethics to demand their take on the money she already had on the table. In effect they took every penny they could instead of doing the right thing, which is to take your cut on the dollars they actually brought to the table. My wife left this firm in the exact same economic position she entered it. They are shameless. Unknowledgeable. In a call with a partner who supposedly had 25 years experience, she didn't even realize my wife's claim was ineligible for federal EEOC complaint. A threshold issue. The case strategy was badly mismanaged from the beginning as a result. They tossed her case to several lawyers in their firm and none ever learned it. Unprepared. We were double billed and only when WE realized it did they modify the billing. They cannot even block and tackle nevertheless win a case. My advice: Hire a firm that fights FOR you, not fights you. We settled for worse terms than we otherwise would have because we were tired of fighting our own lawyers at Lescht. When you need a lawyer, you need them to fight for you. Lescht does not. I was told that I would receive guidance that same night on what to include in my appeal statement because it was important to start early. The attorney explained that we might need to revise the statement several times before submitting it by August 3, leaving time to respond if the government requested additional information before the August 6 appeal deadline. Despite those promises, I never received the guidance or instructions I was told I would get that night. Instead of working with me to develop and refine my statement as discussed, I later learned that work on my case did not begin until August 1. Now, it appears that the attorney will be drafting the statement herself about my relationship with my husband without first involving me in the process as originally promised. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the work to begin immediately. This delay caused unnecessary stress and undermined my confidence in the representation I was promised. When a legal matter involves strict deadlines, communication and following through on commitments are essential. I sincerely hope my appeal is submitted on time, but this experience has left me feeling frustrated and concerned about how my case has been handled.

During the Zoom consultation, multiple attorneys unexpectedly joined the call and appeared to be competing over the consultation fee. The attorney assigned to me concealed his face on camera and had an unprofessional background setup. No meaningful legal advice was provided. Instead, the discussion focused almost entirely on demanding a retainer without explaining strategy, scope, or next steps. At one point, another attorney joined the call and openly criticized the firm, stating they were "all over the place." I escalated my concerns to management and was told nothing could be done because the consultation had technically been "provided," despite no advice being given. I then paid an additional fee to speak with management, only to find that they also lacked familiarity with key family law issues and provided inaccurate information that I had to correct. I was quoted a higher retainer and told it would likely be consumed before even entering court. When I asked to speak with or interview the attorney who would handle my case before paying a retainer, I was told this was not allowed. I was informed I would have to pay first and only afterward determine whether the attorney was competent or a good fit. A broader concern is the firm's retainer structure. Clients are required to pay thousands upfront, only to see those funds quickly exhausted through billing before meaningful litigation occurs. Attorney turnover then leads to reassignment and additional charges for internal transitions that are not the client's responsibility. Trust and transparency are essential in family law matters. Based on my experience and similar feedback from other clients, I cannot recommend this firm.
