Initially, I was skeptical about whether or not Dr Park would be able to treat my complicated issues like my previous practitioner had. Due to insurance, I had to change practitioners and everything changed once I started putting my skepticism aside and communicating my issues. He listens intently and you can see him thinking about the visual fields in context to where your issue is and like a jedi master at his craft can pin point exactly where you need the needles positioned and poof like magic after a session you can tell a difference. But if you are always late by 10-15-20 min that puts the time of other patients at risk being treated and thats unfair to them and delays everyone else. I had my first treatment 3 weeks ago and on that day, I could barely walk in with 'bone on bone' arthritis in both my knees. A few days prior, when I called to make the appointment, they sent me a link to fill out my medical history so I didn't need to fill out anything at the office, I just signed in. Dr. Chen asked me about what was hurting and where my pain was and he immediately started to needle. I've had extensive Acupuncture over the last 25 years (in another state) and Dr Chen inserts his needles so that you don't even feel them going in! I can honestly say with firm conviction, I walked out of there with not one stitch of pain! Of course, it doesn't last (in my case a few days) so I'll keep going until I get to back to maintenance. But I wanted to BLAST about what a gifted acupuncturist he is! Both he and his wife are kind and professional. Their office is very clean and they have quite a few rooms. However; the walls only go up to the drop ceiling so you can hear other patients but I just focus on the music playing and relax for about 20/25 minutes before he turns on the lights. He sometimes uses a tens unit and Chinese herbs and they accept insurance. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his health center, especially when someone is helping to relieve pain.
