After he finished, he checked each of my 3 watches and told me they didn't need servicing, it had been performed recently. He then regulated each watch, sized both Rolex bands and didn't charge me enough for his time (about 45 min). I had great informative conversations throughout my visit. Mr. Wang is a very modest, unassuming small Chinese man who is nothing but business. He was working on a watch when I entered his shop and within several minutes, asked me what I had and what I needed. I was travelling for work through Louisville when I noticed my vintage Omega had stopped ticking. I checked out Yelp and found his spot was only 2 miles from where I was. I stopped on in at his shop, where he was working on another watch at the time, and waited a few minutes while he finished up his work. He quickly diagnosed my issue as a battery, and had the obscure battery on hand and changed it out. His knowledge about my particular model of watch from 1979 was amazing! Having loyally served me about 20 years, my mechanical watch somehow started running fast, I took it to two watch repair shops--one is a chain business in Louisville, yet neither place intended to fix it. Mr. Wang immediately dragonized the problem, after cleaning, the watch clicked out the corrected time; in less than 5 minutes, he fixed the watch but didn't charge me anything. I also had another quartz watch checked by the chain watch service; when I was told the fee of repairing, I decided it was not worthwhile if the fee almost equals the price I paid for the watch. Mr. Wang found the part and capacitor for my watch, got it running like new again, yet he only charged me less than half of what did by the chain business. Mr. Wang is a very knowledgeable watch repairer, he offers a fast, skillful and excellent customer service at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend his business. read more

I came to visit my daughter in Louisville and brought along my almost brand new Rolex Air King, which had unexpectedly stopped running. Mr. Wang was recommended as a watch repair expert. We arrived to his shop on a Friday, the day before we were returning home to Wisconsin. Mr. Wang took apart my entire watch looking for a missing piece, and when we informed him we were only in Louisville that day, he dedicated his time to the repair of my watch. Mr. wang told me all my watch needed was winding and Vela.... it worked! He only charged me 44 dollars for costume fit crystal for the front of the watch. Mr. Wang's son took care of us, replacing batteries on seven watches that ranged from inexpensive sports watches to a nice designer one and everything in between. Total cost--$74.00, and he did the job on the spot. He was most personable, and his price was more than reasonable. Mr. Wang is the person who repairs the truly expensive watches from local jewelry stores. wonderful place, and I recommend it highly! I had two watches that were out of warranty that needed repair. I called around to some local stores and got some basic pricing info, and then I found this place in a Yelp search. Operating in a small garage behind his home, this guy is great. Friendly, easy to understand and extremely affordable. He quickly did all of the work while I waited...replacing crystals and batteries, fixing bands and fixing the dial and second hand on one...even painting the new second hand a different color so it stands out better than the original. Charlie Wang is the man! He has his shop in his garage, and has all the skills and know-how to quickly repair a watch. A true craftsman. My supposedly water-proof watch got some moisture in it. In minutes he took it apart, cleaned it up, and resealed part of it. He was able to tell me in-depth about the problems with it, and the problems I may face down the road.
