DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Look at the dates on all reviews. We hired them several years ago and they did a great job. I rehired them after the nephew took ownership from the original owner. He sent untrained people to paint my house and literally destroyed it. He was never on sight and ended up firing the workers and assured me he had insurance coverage. He did not. It took 1.5 years to get my house repaired, not to mention finding contractors (many refusing to even touch it) and attorneys. My attorney found out that they did have insurance and told me it would cost more to fight them in court than to pay the $118,000 worth of damage. The doors were painted shut, the screens and new deck had spray paint all over them, they literally blew the cedar siding off the house with a pressure washer, there were potential lead issues because they had pressure washed so hard. I was dealing with the city and the county. They poured paint and water into my backyard, stored equipment in my one car garage without even asking. I had a flat tire, scratches on my car and could barely get into the car due to all their equipment. Other contractors who came to look at the house told me they had never seen such damage. These guys are good! They have been around Madison a long time. Tell them your vision and they will not only make it happen, they will make it better than you envisioned! They only hire career painters most of whom have been with the company for several years. Even the younger painters (in their 30's) have been with the company since their early 20's. Phil Warden, the owner, knows how to make customers for life. Doesn't mater if you want a small bathroom wallpaper or the exterior of a huge house painted. They will take care of you before during and after the job is done. They are very upfront about cost with out unexpected ad-ons. Paint on our 1918 home--the garage door, porches, and flat metal roof & railing--needed refreshing. Warden's painters carefully scraped and painted everything, matching existing paint colors. When a rotten board in the garage door was found, they sent a carpenter right away so painting could proceed. The painters were extremely positive, even on the hottest August days, and they worked very carefully, laying drop cloths at all times to protect the cement driveway. Warden & Sons painted two of my external doors (front and from the garage) and trim, plus installed, stained and varnished 3 new interior doors. Larry the painter did an outstanding job with such precision and great coverage of some tricky little spots with unforgiving red and white paint. I didn't meet the builder/installation guy but he fixed the knob/catch on a door that wasn't even part of the job! All in all I'd hire them again and refer them to friends. read more

Talk about patience! I had ordered a patio door and they were on top of checking it out before installing it. 3 times the company shipped the wrong article. We were very appreciative of the way Warden and Sons handled it, went back and forth numerous times to pick up our order and return it when needed, rebuilt the opening to match the size of the door we ordered, and left everything ship-shape!
