Megan--the salon's owner--cut and colored my hair and she did an amazing job. She is very skilled as a stylist and she was really fun to talk to as well! Just as surgeons maybe shouldn't perform their own surgeries, I know when to let someone else cut my hair. 9am on a Thursday I walked in to Moods to a friendly sign asking me to put shoe coverings on (and mask up of course!). I liked this a lot. COVID has butchered the salon industry, so anything that a salon can do to up the sanitization game is huge. Moods Salon was spotless. Then I met Amber. Stylist roulette handed me a beautiful, friendly and enthusiastic ray of sunshine. (No really... you cannot ignore it.). From just a haircut perspective: once I stopped talking about "my hair" (we ALL do it..) she chimed in that she had originally attended barber school and was just shy of finishing when she transferred to cosmetology school to finish up. Oh Universe! Her skill showed this truth. I sit here writing this with the best grown out haircut I've ever had. Amber is going to be getting a call from me today, and I cannot express how good it feels to know I can count on another amazing haircut by an incredible woman.
