Please don't get me wrong, I appreciated the kind responses to my inquiry and was happy Sam was able to accommodate me on short (3-day notice) and make me look great. Curiously, when I went to book online Sam was not an available option with whom I could book an appointment. I hope the person responsible for the portal will ensure they can schedule time with him. The Beauty Lounge offered the best overall experience of any salon I've tried in Cedar Rapids--and I've been shopping around for a while. The salon is small and very well decorated: it's feminine and clean without being frilly. The entire staff was personable and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Megan--the salon's owner--cut and colored my hair and she did an amazing job. She is very skilled as a stylist and she was really fun to talk to as well! She went the extra mile in every way during my appointment by taking the time to brew some fresh coffee for me, helping me sift through my Pinterest page to find the perfect cut, and by beautifully transforming my hair.
