This is a small gripe, an irritation. With the price of eggs skyrocketing we, as Senior Citizens, not only have to watch our budget but also save wherever possible. Today, when we were shopping, the Price sign for eggs stated that you could get 5 dozen LARGE eggs, a 60 pack, for roughly 28 dollars. (Cage free as well.) So I went to purchase on only to find out that they were MEDIUMS. So I looked at the Large eggs by the dozen and the first dozen was $5.54 and each additional dozen would have cost $9.89 Here's my gripe. Don't leave a price mark up on the wall if you don't have the product. Plus, the medium eggs I've purchased there in the past were about the size of small eggs. It takes two medium eggs to equal one large egg in the long run. Coffee was up from $7.98 (approximately) a pound from a couple of weeks ago to almost $10 a pound now. I don't mind adjusting my food budget and I know prices are going up. Just don't list one price and then charge another. Thank you. Ed read more

This is a trial store by Winco. It's brand new. It opened in March. It is a smaller than your typical WinCo stores. The store is very nice and clean with wide-open eyes. The customer service is very friendly. The manager, Jeremy, is most friendly person. They have a good selection of fruits and vegetables. They also have good selection of beer and wine. Most importantly they have a good selection of alternative milk, including organic unsweetened almond milk. read more

I understand social distancing in this time in our lives. I don't understand rude and unnecessary behavior. I was self checking out and needed some assistance since I purchased beer. The checker barked "6 feet" at me, so I backed up to about 10 feet in distance. She barked very rudely, " I said 6 feet." I backed as far as I could and held my tongue. She was then short with me and extremely rude. I know times are tough right now, I also work retail. She used the absolute worst tone with me. I may, or may not, come back. I used to like to shop at Waremart in Ontario. Beginning this year, Oregon state passed a law that dis-allowed plastic bags at the checkout. You now have to bring in your own bags or be charged for their paper bags. This is probably a good idea, but it's a real hassle. Winco is normally my favorite place to shop but last Saturday I was at the Winco in Ontario and was followed around the store by this self driving cleaning machine that had the most irritating beeping sound that goes off at a high pitch every 5 to 10 seconds. It is the most annoying experience I have ever had at a store. I asked the manager why he had to have that thing running in the middle of the day when there were a ton of shoppers and he said its the new " cleaning boy" . I love winco and not a big fan of walmart ( which is right across the street), but I dont know if I can take that beeping sound again. I know I was not alone in how I felt as everyone in the store that day was quite irritated by that sound. I mean really?? the floor had to be cleaned at 3 pm on a Saturday? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!~ not sure if I can put myself through that again. Maybe some people are not as sound sensitive as I am, but for me it was very very bad! read more

I'm not getting that he hand held baskets are put away due to the flu (covid19) but the carts that get touched the same to worse (not sanitized after each use) is some how OK. i was so happy when Waremart took the hand held baskets when people checked out, not allowing people to take them out to their cars-which never come back. But after a time their supply dwindled. When I asked a few employees about it. I was told people come in and take them. A trucker came in and took 12-15 to put in his semi to organize his stuff. They said there is nothing they can do. WHAT! Waremart this is your property, don't allow people to steal from you like your neighbor across the street, Be smarter that that.
