That turned out to be completely untrue. Both my fiancée's attorney and the attorney I ultimately hired were not only comfortable with the timeline, but also took a far more collaborative and respectful approach -- encouraging open dialogue about our shared goals. David ultimately quit -- but not before sending a series of passive-aggressive emails and repeatedly undermining my judgment.
