The office was becoming less and less reachable or responsive and finally, we received no response whatsoever. We have had 2 sessions 1st - photographer was about an hour and a half late (not counting the time she took with the client that was also waiting before us). Although as frustrating as it was waiting on her with a baby, she definitely compensated with extra time and she was really great. She had the poses down, was very patient with us, and we had a really grays session despite the tardiness. Our photos also did turn out beautiful. 2nd - was not as enjoyable as the 1st. Photographer was on time, patient with us, but I felt he wasn't as experienced as the 1st photographer we dealt with. We had our 1 year old as well as our dog, so it was a little crazy, and we just wanted to be done with it all. The only thing I would say is I wish he would offer more poses, and not take a phone call during our session. I'm a bit nervous about how these photos will come out. With this, it's really hit or miss. If you find a good photographer, try to request them again. read more

FRAUD - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE PHOTO PLAN. We used Warm Sun Photography for their Local Events option in Los Angeles a couple times in 2019 and 2021 and had good experiences, so we signed up for the photo plan for monthly payments to use for discounted sessions in the future. After making 12 payments (which supposedly qualified for a 60 minute session with all photos included), we went to the website and found NO AVAILABLE SESSIONS for the photo plan. We tried calling the phone number on the website several times and got no response, but there was a message that the mailbox was full. We continued checking for availability online and continued to find absolutely nothing in Los Angeles. Eventually we got a response by email that they would look for an availability that was not on the website, so we gave several dates that would work for us. They also claimed that this was the first they were hearing about the difficulty reaching them by phone, despite a very similar experience posted on the Better Business Bureau site. Another 2 weeks and no response, so I sent an angry message asking for my money back (we have paid $464 in total). We did get a response to that, and were booked for a session soon after. We drove 30 minutes to the site they selected, and the photographer NEVER SHOWED UP. We later got a message from the photographer that the Warm Sun people had given her a different date for our session than what they had given to us. This is a completely unreliable company, I would not give them any money up front until services are rendered. read more

Booked a family session for 12/12/2021 as I had unused credit with them (8 payments for the membership). Issue #1: No confirmation email after I had booked the session, although my card was charged for the sitting fee. Per their policy, I was supposed to receive an email with meeting location and photographer contact info. Contacted them on the day of the shoot (calls aNd text messages) but no answer. How on earth was I supposed to find them at the park, and it's not a small park! Issue # 2: Contacted them on 12/8 to check if the shoot would still be on as we were having really bad weather the entire week and forecast 90% chance of raining for shooting day. I was advised they shoot rain or shine; however, if the weather is really bad then the photographer will reach out to notify of cancellation. It RAINED HEAVILY the day before non stop till the day of the shoot. I couldn't confirm the location or if their photographer was still shooting that day, which I doubt that it even happened! Their service caters to family with young children and they would make us shoot in heavy rain???!!! This month I had to book another session to use my credit before it expires. And guess what, same thing happened! No confirmation of location and photographer contact #. No answer through email or phone. I'm so done and will dispute all charges with my credit card. This was our second time using Warm Sun Photography for our family of 6. We have an 8 year old, 6 year old and twins that are 3 years old. Getting them to be in one place and looking in the same direction AND smile never happens!! So I told my family for Mother's Day I want one photo with everyone including me... (because moms usually take the photo and are rarely in it lol). So we decided to use Warm Sun. Michael was our photographer and wow was he the perfect man for the job!!!! He was silly and talked about kid stuff to make them laugh!! He played games with them and really won them over. He was incredible!!!! Super chill and easy going!!! I cannot say enough about our photographer Michael. Our site had a few hiccups causing us to need to relocate to another area and he adapted and ran with it. He also saw how energetic our kiddos were and let them be kids by running around and snapping pictures in a way that they were most comfortable. My son actually remembered him from 2 years ago because he did magic tricks with them!! Of course, due to covid he couldn't bust out his tricks but he had soooo many other delightful ways to connect to my family. If you have kids please please ask for Michael!!! He will get the job done!! I cannot wait to see how these turn out. I will use him again next year when we schedule our yearly family photo. Another session, another great review! I made an appointment for a 30 minute family session in SF Golden Gate park on Sunday. We really loved working with Michael. He did a fantastic job with us and especially our kids. I'm looking forward to seeing their real smiles on our pics! 30 min did not feel rushed, maybe the skill of this photographer or because our kids are older now, and I think we will have a great selection of individual pics of the kids and group shots. Michael is a great photographer. No issues about his work. The office manager is slow to respond and slow to provide digital copies. I inquired about this and they replied it takes about a week. It's been another week (total 2 weeks) and no word on when I can expect the copies. I wanted to get Christmas cards printed but now waiting. They do not provide edits so I'm not sure what the delay is aside from uploading the photos to their server. When Warm Sun was smaller, their turn around time was much quicker, within a week, which was amazing. I planned my Christmas cards according to my past experience and unfortunately cannot rely on this anymore. I'm disappointed about this. I fell for the family plan subscription as a new parent after seeing heavily targeted ads on social media in 2020. 1st session for birthday boy, great. 2nd session was okay with some trouble scheduling. With over $300 in credit left, I tried to schedule a 3rd session in LA area (May 2021). It was canceled on with little to no response. Recently, I tried to schedule another session for my 2nd child's 1st birthday cake smash. The calendar was hardly available for the desired location. I emailed to follow up. Got one response for alternative location, and then never heard back after several emails. Voicemail is also full. Not responsive to text either. I've only been in contact with Michelle Strickley. This is not the "concierge service" one should get as part of their family plan member, and I echo other negative reviews that say this is a completely unreliable company. read more

I did not repeatedly reschedule. I was the one who was cancelled on and asked to reschedule by your company THREE times. I understand a cancellation once but to be contacted to reschedule by your company three times and not given any opportunity to pick my reschedule date is excessive and insensitive to parents of little ones who can't just pick up and go. Then I rescheduled and it got cancelled again, and then again. Others have left the same feedback so clearly there is a bad process pattern that needs to be addressed. Also, 7 days for a first reply back to a customer is not prompt. Leaving them in a black hole of confusion and wondering if the money they paid disappeared is not excellent customer service worthy of anyone's time. Not having a proper phone system to accept calls and a voicemail line that is available to customers is unacceptable for a business. This has also been a constant trend in the review comments of your business. While the photographer might be wonderful, this business is not being managed well and not customer friendly. When precious moments that can't be replaced are at stake, I'll take my money and time elsewhere. Others have commented they never received product they paid for also --- when there's a consistent theme to reviews for a business from many people, it's not a rant. A few days later I get a notification that they rescheduled my photo session for different day and time. Never asked me about my availability. Then the next day I get notification that now I am not to be provided a free digital image they promised, but some small print. PLEASE, do not waste people's time. Warm Sun Photography has since reached out and sincerely apologized and offered us a full refund of the family plan we had invested in. I am still waiting for the refund to be credited to my credit card, but I did really appreciate the timelines in their response to my review and helping with our issue. They have also offered us a free session with images. I will say, the very first time we had a session with them, we were very happy with the photographs, which is why we decided to buy the whole package and invest in this plan.
