Both my friend and I felt incredibly welcomed and a lack of judgement. It was a refreshing experience and I don't know why I was surprised. Maurices makes cute clothes for a variety of body types and sizes, and they recognize that everyone has a right to feel fabulous. When I walked in I was instantly greeted by Sara who asked if she could help find anything or if I had questions. After 1 minute in the door and 4 items already in my hands, I told Sara I think I hit the jackpot! It's been awhile since I've been to Maurice's, so I forgot how much I love their selection! Sara hooked me up with a dressing room so I could free up my arms for my items. Another girl took the next batch and I was soon on my way to the fitting room to try on the 10+ items I found. While I loved everything, I narrowed it down and went to checkout. I asked the girl about the current sale (better late than never, right?!) and although none of my items qualified, she hooked it up with a $50 off coupon. Thanks for a great experience!! BUYER BEWARE! When I received my order there was a sheet of…read moreinstructions with 2 choices for returns. I started the return process per the instructions for the "QR code return to a drop off place with no label or box". I got a response my item was not eligible for return, so I called customer service and was told they couldn't provide a QR code right now and that I had to do the "pack, label, and ship" method. The shirt came in a plastic bag which got ripped when opening, and got tossed, so have to purchase a container to ship it back, pay a $9.95 return fee, lose the shipping cost and sales tax, AND wait up to 72 hours for a label to be emailed to me. So this shirt I am returning is costing me at least $25 to return. I told them I would never order from them again. I think I will take it to a resale shop or just donate it somewhere. Lesson learned.
