I first took the GRE in early July. It had been a decade since high-school math, and I'd hoped that intensive self-studying would get me to my score goal. Well, it didn't - I needed to be 2-3 points higher in math to be competitive at my target grad programs. Enter: Bryce. To put it simply - if you are wondering whether you need a tutor or if Bryce is the right one...the answer is yes!!! I tried Manhattan Test Prep, skimmed Kaplan, and studied Target Test Prep. All of them had elements of helpfulness, but nothing really taught me "how" to take the GMAT based on my own test-taking strengths (and anxieties) and to be prepared for whatever question came my way. I was scoring in the 160s on all my LSAT practice exams and could not break into the 170s on my own, so I started working with Bryce to push past that last plateau. Bryce is an excellent tutor and is unlike tutors who use the conventional approach of attempting every question on all study guides. You may not believe it, but I barely passed a math exam through high school. I could not even sit through 5 minutes of studying for the GMAT examination before bursting into tears (literally - this was how scared I was of the exam). Like everyone else has said, he approaches every student basis their abilities and needs. His GMAT English tutoring is also very structured. He is also extremely patient. Bryce is an excellent GRE tutor. When I first started studying for the test, I was overwhelmed, confused and frustrated by just opening my practice book. I hadn't taken a math or English course in years. Bryce helped ease those fears and boosted my confidence. After the initial meeting, I knew that he would be a great tutor for me.
