Was fast, relatively not busy and a lot of places around to go eat while doing laundry

Very Rude Staff today. I called earlier and she said thry close at 6 pm today the 4th of July. I came down at 4:30pm. Got my quarters and proceeded to wash my loads of laundry. First she said that would be ok as I only wash, can dry at home. Then in front of the other customers she procedure to say loudly that she would take my laundry out and make me leave the premises. At 5pm my last load said 20 minutes left. She said im leaving at 6pm and I dont want you here again when im working. Ive never had a problem with any of the other workers here before. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. The employee threatened my girlfriend with police when she begged her to leave her alone. make the extra 5 minute commute to Burlington laundromat. Me and my girlfriend (20) are moving and we stopped to wash 2 loads of laundry, we pay OVER 50 total for two loads &we step out for less than an hour (we timed it and our dryer was still on) and the older Mexican lady employed who was in Thursday April16 TAKES OUR CLOTHES OUT OF THE WASHER, in this case there WAS an available washer that JUST needed to be WIPED DOWN next to ours, instead of wiping the dog fur out for the person who needed the washer (she had over 2 hours to clean it but was talking to customers about personal life instead), she decided dumping our wet clothes in a cart for anyone to grab near the door was a better idea. When we returned, she quickly started cleaning the dirty washing machine to pretend like she was in the process of it before we got back. I then asked her who took the clothes out and she admitted it was her. me and my girlfriend share a look of disgust and violation that the woman working just grabbed our undergarments. All we say is okay and we start grabbing our stuff, it's not a big deal we just won't come back again right? Wrong, she proceeded to talk and joke about us to a customer, pointing and laughing at us. My girlfriend noticed while buying bags from the machine and only mentioned to them that "she speaks Spanish too and can understand them" which they both are shocked and stop talking immediately, if it ended there I wouldn't be making the post of our horror story experience here. unfortunately, she goes on to follow us to the back where we were already packing up to go, she then proceeds to try to lie her way out of it and claim that she was talking about the "girl who left the previously mentioned open washer dirty" she was pointing and telling the customer "that girl right there" , when the washer had been dirty since we first walked in at 5am to start washing. She quickly starts harassing my girlfriend trying to make excuses, my girlfriend and I do not want to hear it, all she responds is "okay, that's fine, just don't talk to me" The lady then begins to get defensive, trying to force a response from my girlfriend , which she only responded to saying "I thought what you did was rude, it was unprofessional, it was wrong, and nasty. That's all, we won't be giving you more money we just want to leave, just don't talk to me" She then starts screaming at my girlfriends face telling her that "oh well the manager isn't here" WHICH SHE RESPONDS WITH " it's fine we don't want to talk to him, OR YOU, please leave me alone" My girlfriend goes on to say "please leave me alone" over 5 times during this, the employee then got mad and started threatening her with police and saying she was going to call the cops because my girlfriend was "rude".. Obviously she responds saying "go ahead, call the cops, they can't arrest ME for telling YOU to leave me alone" She immediately goes to the corner and starts group insulting and laughing/recording us. This place is absolutely disgusting, more like the employees. The actual laundromat was decently clean and what you would expect from most laundromats, however the employees are NOT fit for this work, rude, and honestly unsafe to be around. We felt extremely singled out and harassed. I don't even know weather or not to even report this elsewhere, the laundromat doesn't deserve to be reported because they hired one bad employee. Please do something about this, no one deserves to already be having a hard time trying to go to peacefully wash clothes we're PAYING over 50$ to wash, to be insulted and harassed. I am a customer I'm not homeless I was there doing my laundry and asked to use bathroom ok she let me, but it's as if I'm bothering her as she's on her phone but let me, but then I had to use it again about an hour later and she's on phone again and said no that I was only allowed to use it once... I have been going here for about 2 years now. Even though there is a out of order sticker on the bathroom, I know it still works. The attendants there are a mom and a daughter. The mom would always unlock and let me in the bathroom if I asked. She would roll her eyes, but she would do it. When I asked the daughter she refused and said it was out of order. I told her that her mom lets me in, but she said she won't. I told her that i spend 2 hours a week there, and about $35-40 each time and she didnt care. I need to be able to count on where I can get to a bathroom, and this created a very embarrassing situation for me. I let the owner know that it is a federal law to let people use the bathroom for a medical condition, so dont let them tell you no!! read more

We aren't regulars at laundromat since we have our own machines, but they are small and can't accommodate large quilts and such so I came here. What a scary place. Seriously I didn't feel the least bit safe in the parking lot. And there were sketchy looking people kind of hiding behind the corner of the building. And this was in broad daylight! This is a terrible part of Mount Vernon and for that reason alone I would avoid this place. The machines were fine, I guess, but ridiculously expensive. They are really taking advantage of people who don't have their own laundry machines. I came in about three minutes after my wash was done, and someone who worked there had already removed my items and scolded me like a little child. I think I'll stick with Laundromats in Bellingham. read more

Stopped in here to do about 5 loads of laundry. Place was clean. Lots of different kinds of washers, regular, double and triple load. Plenty of driers. They even have an extractor. Only negative, is that it is very tight quarters. You are always running into someone, the folding table and/or the washers and driers. read more

We love Washboard Laundry. We especially love their laundry by the pound for $1.49 a pound with a 24 hour turn around time. They open at 7am and close at 10:00 pm seven days a week so there are lots of times that you can come. Thursdays are a great time to come . I came on a Thursday afternoon and it was great . Summer time it is air conditioned which is nice. Plenty of parking and they have carts to help push out to your vehicle. On a major bus line too. There are also vending machines inside including Pepsi and almost always there is an attendant on hand for help which is a real plus. read more

My husband and I have been there 3 times in the past month. Twice Kelly has been very disrespectful to us. The first time she gave my husband a hard time about giving him the key to the restroom. He needed to use the restroom before picking up our laundry. She accused him of not being a customer. Meanwhile, he had dropped off the laundry earlier in the day, for them to do. We dropped off our laundry late yesterday afternoon. When we came by at 1:30pm today to pick it up, the drop-off window was closed with a note "on break, in an emergency call ........". There was no indication when she would be returning. When no one had returned by 2:45pm, I left a message on the laundromat's main number. I waited another 15 minutes, and then called the emergency number. At this point, I was told she (Kelly) would be back shortly and that she had gone to some construction site. It was almost 3:30pm before she (Kelly) returned, with no apology. I waited a total of 2 hours to pick up our laundry. I could have done our laundry in the time she was gone. This is very disrespectful. Obviously going to a construction site for over 2 hrs is far more important than serving the customers. We will be reconsidering coming here again. read more

Normally I wouldn't use this laundry mat, to many customers an unruly children, however it was close to my work, cheap, an dryers are fast.. The women working let me start my laundry At 9:10 pm even though they close at 10! I noticed how she was cleaning the machines an I feel that is AMAZING!! I mean I'm a germ a phob an it was nice to see her cleaning to a standard I'd do myself!! Her an I had a nice conversation while she was closing up an I was drying my clothes!! She definitely takes pride in her job an it shows !!! I still don't see myself doing laundry to much here unless it's late night . However Barbie went above an beyond!! I'll start with the positives.. parking is ample and it's relatively easy to get to. Although there are lots of machines it feels like once it gets a little busy you are elbow to elbow with other patrons. Because of its size there's not very much seating and I ended up folding my laundry at the machine with the door of another machine that was opened a few inches from my back. Watch out for their machines. They will steal your money ant the attendants WON'T do anything about it when I know for a lay fact that they can. They have keys to these machines and are rude to you when you inform them of the theft. Be cautious when coming here. They will rob you blind any way they can. read more

I have been to a few local laundromats and no where compares to the cleanliness you will find here! Kelly is always busy cleaning something and i love to see that and it shows! Came in as a new customer to wash our laundry today and unloaded our car full of laundry. After which i politely asked the attendant which peeked out from behind her book just long enough to look at me with distain and tell me that i could not use the bathroom unless i was a customer. It made me feel about the size of a pea. WHAT BOTHERS ME IS THAT IT WAS RACIALLY MOTIVATED. Every other white customer that came in to use the facilities were never even asked. I've been to other laundry mats and most of them are dirty but this one wasn't. She was always very respectful and always helped when I needed it. I had to quickly find a laundromat as my own washer was busted. There I met Debbie. WOW this woman is NEVER still. She was working on keeping the machines in good running condition, helpful when I needed it, doing laundry for someone and keeping the place clean and in great shape. The machines are super quick and I was in and back out an hour sooner than I had planned on. Debbie keeps a sharp eye out for problems and is right on top of just about everything dealing with place. I felt comfortable, safe and able to do my work and get on with my day. I will be without my laundry room at home for weeks so will be coming back again and again. GIVE THIS LADY A RAISE!! read more

I work late on the weekends and need to have a clean uniform for the next shift. I finally found Washboard while looking for a laundromat in the phone book, so I called. I asked what time they closed and a lady told me "Well technically the last load has to be in at 8:45." Excited and in a hurry I packed up all of my laundry and got there as fast as I could. I pulled in at 8:39 and she walked out to my vehicle and said that it was too late to start a load. I did not want to argue as she was clearly already annoyed that I had showed up. I will never go back. Some people are happy to have jobs and appreciate when people come in to spend money. read more
