This shop is located with in the scenic Maberly part of Elliston and has been build along the old style pattern of stores that once existed in Newfoundland. When we arrived, the owners were busy as this was their first day of business for the season. It's all hand made here by one of the owners or other local artists. Gayle and I picked out 2 puffin related items: a pillow and what might be called a coaster or maybe a Puffin Kippah? These are high quality items that were amongst the best crafts we purchased on our trip. If their WIFI is working, they'll accept EMTs. Otherwise (like we did), it was an all cash transaction. That's why that even in a digital-driven world, having available cash on a trip is always a good idea. Note - There's no bathroom here, with the closed one being the camp ground back towards town.

At our Hotel, we both like to hang out in our room in the evening over a glass of our favorite adult beverage. By the signage, it looks like separate sectioned "State" stores are allowed within a grocery store proper. I didn't expect much considering the "funky" exterior appearance of this Market, but the wine selection was actually pretty good. Ditto with the grocery part of the store.

Being up in Port Rexton we decided to go to. The company's home is in Bonavista-- The Wild Island Apothecary. All their products are made by hand and packaged on site. They really use harvested iceberg water, not that it matters to me if they use well water. Stop in if you're in Bonavista watching the puffins or icebergs. BTW, Bonavista is the windiest place in Canada.

In previous visits in other parts of Canada, I've collected Canadian Tire Money and purchased various home improvement items (that would fit in a suitcase. This time around, I needed bubble wrap and some tape to wrap some tourist treasures (from Trinity) for the long trip home (via car, train, and air). I ended up with a similar 3M product (which works better) and a couple decks of branded playing cards (for future rounds of Idiot). And if it wasn't for the fact that Gayle was waiting in the car, I would have hung around longer and no doubt found some item that would no doubt save me time and trouble once I got it back home. This Canadian Tire is a little small and with the goods tightly shelved. And as this is relatively small town Newfoundland, it was pretty easy to find this place and then get back on the TCH (Trans Canada Highway).

Store associates are always friendly and eager to help you, they also normally have a decent sale price for the quality of the product. Would recommend!
