Better to go thru the front door than the back. Lol When they check ur temp at the door the lady asked "are u here to bail someone out? " I immediately said "oh god no!"... I now realize how bad that sounded. But couldn't stop my reaction b4 it happened. Went in for my CCW permit. Thanks to covid took 3.5 months for my appt. So if u take ur class get ur appt immediately because i heard they r bookinf march now. U only get 6 months to get in. Then u start over. Staff was friendly and we had alot of laughs in the lobby and clerks office.

I just wanted to express my gratitude for the Christmas in July program by the Washoe County Sheriff's Office. It's a big help specially the kids are going back to school. They gave away backpacks full of school supplies. Thank you for your service and what you do!

No one really WANTS to go to the Washoe County Sheriff's Department; but if you have to use the Civil Department, you will be met by the friendliest people! I am honestly so appreciative of how patient they were while walking me through the paperwork to submit papers to be served for a court date. It literally took 5 minutes, because I had my appropriate court documents. From my initial phone call to get the estimated cost to have the papers served, to how simple the process was once in office, it was the least stressful part of my small claims. I hope I don't have to file another small claims, but I know if I do, this department will be my easiest step!

Cars running red lights and stop signs in all directions with both California and NV plates. Motorcycles cutting in between me and other cars stopped! Cars going at least 65 or more on Vista and other streets I get tailgated and flipped off for going the speed limit! This afternoon going to work on Vista, a CA driver road my bumper screamed past, cut me off then continued through the school zone same speed! only to be pasted IN the school zone by another CA SUV! It's ridiculous... Why have stop sign, signals or speed limits if no one is obeying them anyway and no one that I see is out there enforcing them!!!!

If I knew the names of the officers that showed up that day I would give there names. Highly unprofessional rude disrespectful and no regard for human life what so ever! The male officer and women officer looked me in my eyes and said what are you crazy pointing to there heads several times and was also down talking me like I was a piece of trash! They did not help out what so ever just made things worst then what it had to be I was also given a death threat by the women officer that showed up and she said do not go into that room sit down and if you do not listen I will shoot you that's not professional at all in my books she had no right giving me a death threat. The two officers stayed with me in that apartment for 30 minutes acting like the place was there's then without a warning just left me behind with out shutting the door behind them. DO NOT TRUST THE SPARKS POLICE DEPARTMENT BECAUSE THEY ARE THUGS AND GANGSTERS THAT WORK FOR THE FORCE! THE DISRESPECT IS REAL AND THEY ARE LOOKING FOR ANY REASONS TO HARM OR EVEN KILL CIVILIANS I HATE TO BE THIS WAY BUT ITS THE TRUTH SINCERELY DAMIEN MCKINNEY FROM NEVADA! IM HAPPY I NOW LIVE IN A WAY BETTER STATE WITH MORE RESPECTFUL OFFICERS THAT ARE TRAINED RIGHT IN MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS SITUATIONS!

Just had a child custody hearing with Judge Sandra Unsworth. She was completely biased,…read morecondescending and rude. I had exhibits that she refused to even look at. This hearing has destroyed my faith in the system and ultimately will have a very negative impact on my family. Especially my kids. After the hearing, I spoke with several people who work at the court who said her staff and many people in the courts cannot stand her. My attorney also said she has a terrible reputation and is a bitter, lonely and miserable human. Has anybody else had this experience? I find it hard to believe this has only happened with my case. I want to file a motion for reconsideration and request others be there in person to see firsthand how corrupt this judge is.

Note to self. don't go to criminal court, ever, purposely. I am very grateful for law and order, and the people who have to enforce it to keep us all safe. And the stars are for the people who day in and day out have to deal with the stories I heard while waiting our turn to be heard. Do not wear thick, tie up boots. I could not get through security because something I was wearing kept sounding off the metal detector. I think they were the eyelets in my boots. The security folks are very patient and kind. It was first thing in the morning and we were early, and I could feel my hair standing on end.. The courthouse floor was pristine. Like a mirror. Hats off to the maintenance and housekeeping staff! There is a hush and also a "move to the left" when the incarcerated folks come in. Kind of intimidating to me just to view the presentation and hear the shackles. All of the law enforcement folks, the DA, Public Defender teams, court reporters, etc, were very professional and courteous. There were some family members in there crying. A room full of mixed emotion. I am grateful for the experience and appreciate and respect those who work in that environment

I'm halfway between the guy who said "This was way easier than the DMV" and my own opinion of "Why…read moreis this just as hard as the DMV?" Truth be told, for most things it's a lot easier, but apparently registering a boat with a motor of any kind requires nearly an act of Congress. Earlier this year I bought two plastic layout boats that had mounts for an electric trolling motor. I could use the boat with or without that motor, but of course the plan is to motorize them at some point. For that reason, I had to pull these plastic floating rectangles you slide into down to NDOW for an "inspection", which was nothing more than them looking at the boats, which I assume was to make sure they're actually boats, match numbers on a certificate of origin and taking a photo for the record. Prior to doing this I went to NDOW with all my paperwork to find out what I needed to do to get these registered. I laid it all out on the table and showed the woman what I had and was told I needed to bring them for an inspection along with the certificate of origin the seller provided me and we could get it all done. The reason for three stars is because after following those instructions I was told my paperwork wasn't sufficient. See because the paperwork was in the name of the seller, they would not accept that I owned the boats. Even though I had every piece of paper provided by the manufacturer and the title to the very trailer they sat on, it wasn't enough to prove I was the rightful owner. So after all of that, I had to track down the prior owner, bring him a bill of sale form (which they provided), get him to sign it, and then return to NDOW to complete the process. Because these plastic floating rectangles will have a motor on them they needed to be officially inspected, titled, and registered, and this process took me as long as it's gonna take to register the trailer! So if you have a kayak and you want to put a motor on it for any reason, you'll need all that and more. Kinda ridiculous.
