I know why everyone recommends Frau Möller! Well deserved!…read more A bit gruff and very crowded at lunch, but for good reason. Ice cold delicious beer and hot authentic local German food. Our waitress was fluent in English and made us feel welcome in a "so you're not from around her, but that's okay, sit here" kind of way.... Very pleasant! The beer was plentiful and ice cold, and we had the Wienerschnitzel (I know... cliché, but oh so good!), and it came out fast, hot and delicious. Also, for French Fries fans... these were thin, hot and crispy! (Not a big fan of soft fries/chips). Right near the train station for a meal before you travel, or while you're waiting to check into your hotel. We'll be back!

The food was about 2 *'s and it's definitely a case of quality over quantity. I got currywurst - the curry sauce tasted bottled, and the sausage wasn't well cooked. My kids got schnitzel and they said it was "mid". Honestly I think German food kind of caps out at 4 *'s - there's only so much you can do with boiled potatoes and kraut and sausages.

That's probably the only downside for me as I am vegetarian and they lack a bit in that department but I always get the "Bauernfrühstück" without the ham. This is basically an Omelette with potatoes and pickled cucumbers on top and it taste just like I remember it from my childhood, so just for that I go there ... I am sure they even have more dishes that are vegetarian but I never tried. The most special thing will be their opening hours as their kitchen is open all night long which makes the place also popular among party people also there is a table reserved for cab drivers.

That didn't stop the cashier from being friendly and patient. It was my first time so it wasn't immediately clear to me that you specify the sauce for the chicken when you order the chicken. My chicken came with kimchi and the kimchi was delicious. They are closed on Sunday.

The service was good but I not sure how much English they understood. We would have asked for the curry sauce on the side and very light ketchup and mayonnaise. They only had high tables for eating. It was messy to eat and no place to clean your hands. I would go back and try again but use a translator.

Each plate (you can choose large or normal sized) come with two sides. The choices are side salad, mashed or diced potatoes, red cabbage, and krout. There are also three types of mustard: süß (meaning sweet, seemed like a honey mustard), and scharf (meaning sharp, very strong) and mittel-scharf (meaning medium-sharp, still very strong).

Old building with great characters and all table lite up by long candles (old style). Plus there is a long bar that you can seat and enjoys a pint or two or more. Which in my case, I did.
