https://youtu.be/-marY2VUkJo -- Updated Video…read more I wrote a review previously for Niagara Fence Pros, but for whatever reason it never got published. Funny how negative reviews don't get published. I contacted Tony about my fencing needs. I told Tony (clearly in writing) that *THE SOLE PURPOSE OF THIS FENCE WAS TO PREVENT MY ROTTWEILERS FROM BEING ABLE TO ROAM FREE*. He & his crew put up the fence & he installed two gates; one leading to my driveway and the other to my backyard. On BOTH gates, the gates don't close properly. The latches don't catch, so all my dogs had to do was simply PUSH on the gate to get out. And my dogs did EXACTLY that & ran on the streets scaring the residents. In other words, I paid for a fence which looks nice but doesn't function as I had clearly expressed (in writing) what I needed it to do. I was disappointed in how he skimped on the workmanship. If you'll notice on the gates, there's a black cable. Originally he used ordinary string. That broke off in less than a week. I had to order black stainless steel cable latches off Amazon. Tony came out once to modify the fence latch, but then it happened to the second gate. He said he was "willing to provide one more gate adjustment free of charge." but I declined. The reason is because if this problem persisted, there was no point. As a responsible dog owner/dog breeder, I needed a fence to contain my dogs, which are considered a "dangerous breed". After several accommodations/hacks that we desperately tried to make work, I couldn't find a solution. In the end, I had to get rid of my dogs. His poor workmanship has crippled my business. As if the economy wasn't a kick in the butt enough! I'm so sorry I contacted Niagara Fence Pros and am currently consulting with lawyers for legal recourse.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - Very Bad Experience Sales rep…read moreSantiago and owner Ruslan do not communicate! Santiago, the sales rep, agreed to include a small $200 fence adjustment at no extra cost when the project expanded from $8000 TO $15,000. The owner, Ruslan, later added the $200 back onto the final invoice and denied the agreement entirely. After installation, the gate failed to meet Hamilton bylaw requirements. When we contacted Santiago the same day the gate was completed, he assured me it was a quick fix and they would take care of it. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, Ruslan immediately accused us of changing our minds, threatened extreme late fees and insisted the job was complete. (their contract outlines $1,000 + 24% interest after 5 days). Our final payment was one day behind as we were simply looking for clarification on the amount of the final payment. 85% of the job had been paid for. His crew also backed into my neighbour's car who is also paying for half the fence causing over $3500 in damage. Ruslan refused to cover the $500 deductible and seemed annoyed he even wanted to have it fixed. The following morning Ruslan agreed, for $50, to the simple fix to the gate latch hardware to comply with Bylaw when his crew was the area. I accepted, but the damage to the relationship had already been done. The lack of communication, denial of commitments made by his own sales rep, and refusal to take responsibility for property damage make this company impossible to recommend. What would have prevented this: 1. Issue a revised quote when changes are requested. 2. Provide a new contract when the project scope changes significantly. 3. Do a proper final walk‑around before demanding payment. 4. Communicate with your own sales rep before accusing customers of dishonesty. 5. Pick up the phone and speak respectfully instead of sending hostile emails. 6. Consider whether arguing over $200 is worth losing goodwill on a $15,000 job. I was prepared to recommend this company and had already referred a neighbour because the crew seemed very good. Unfortunately, the way this was handled by Santiago and Ruslan left me with a very sour experience. There are plenty of fence companies out there -- choose one that stands behind its word.
