I did have a complaint with our new service and they immediately called me and rectified the situation.

They don't pick up your trash. You can't speak to a live person. The prompts don't allow you to leave a voicemail because it's always full. The chat function doesn't work. It's just a terrible company with horrible service. Avoid them. Go with another company. read more

This company is basically a nation wide MONOPOLY. Why they have not been looked into as a monopoly by the Federal Trade Commission is unclear to me. In my area ( Farmington NM and Durango CO ) they have basically no competition. The prices for trash pick up keep going up and up. They charge an extra fee on top of the standard rate if you pay by card. They have switched from live human help on their site to an AI driven time consuming and frustrating experience. This is what happens when mass consolidations and takeovers result in one company having an over size role----they can drive up prices and stifle any competition. The trash service isn't bad, but hope you never have to call them. These cheap SOB's don't have enough human customer service reps, they rely on the most inefficient, aggravating computer system I have ever had to sit on hold for hours. The IT department should be ashamed of themselves. And after an hour, you get a rep that is untrained and opts to get you to a supervisor. Usually they just hang up on you, but if you do get one, they too just pass you off to others, saying they will call you back, and never do. Unfortunately they are the only service where I am. I am thinking about just burying or burning the trash. Without a doubt, the most frustrating company I have ever had to deal with. And there is no one to complain to. I have had them for years. My bill keeps going up. It is now over $115 per month. This is well over 1300 a year for trash pick up.

Have been trying to get them to pick up recycling since we started service. Have tried for 4 days in a row rescheduling a re-pick up with no impact. Recycle is still on the curb. Waste pickup happened in front of our eyes so we know they can find at least one of two cans sitting next to each other. The app is worthless and just goes to error mode when trying to report a missed pick-up and their phone system will have you waiting a minimum of an hour before someone actually connects. This is the worst service. Wish I could give negative 5 stars. Call anyone else for service. read more

Signed up for service May 20th. Was told we could not pick up our trash container by dispatch . Told we had to pay $40 and have it delivered. 7-10 days .After 3 phone calls , we still did not get a container. Each call I waited for a person to talk to for over 20 min . Yesterday June 4 th. We stopped by our local office. A nice lady said we can pick up our trash can now . Said dispatch always tells you it can't be picked up . Also, said there system showed it had been delivered. We had told one fella on phone that it had not been delivered. Crazy bad business practices. SLOWWWWW! Customer support. If not for local office we still would be without a bin . So, by the 4th delivery day we can finally put our trash in something. read more

So, WM has driven by my recycle can for 3 times in a row and has not picked up my recycles. Today I was home and watched them drive by. I'm a senior citizen and got up early to shovel my steep driveway so that I could get the can on the road for easy access. They know their cans, yet they just drove by. When I try to call, I get "due to multiple attempts with incorrect information, you need to call back," and when I tried to contact them via live chat, they just blanked out my request and said I was no longer in the que. We moved from the city to right above 3 Springs, and 3.5 weeks ago we called to set up service with Waste Management... they told us we would have our trash bin & recycle bin 3 weeks ago, and now after 3 Thursdays in a row of having no bins dropped off for us, we are just disgusted. We heard terrible things about W.M. But they (unfortunately) were out only option. Each Thursday the buns have not showed up we have called only to be told "sorry! The driver just changed his route, they will be there next Thursday". Zero concern whatsoever. Such poor service. Do yourself a favor and don't live outside the city where you're required to use their service. read more

Very poor service since they bought out Baker Sanitation. First they managed to lose the very nice bear resistant container that I owned. (others in the neighborhood disappeared the same date into the hopper) It took weeks to get a replacement and the "new" one was already beat up. The drivers/pick-up guys repeatedly tried destroying this can - we even saw them bending the latches with a metal rod. Finally they were successful and now the hinge is broken off and the lid so bent that we cannot even close the can. Today marks 3 weeks since we made the complaint and request for a replacement can. We have made over 15 calls and wasted hours of time on hold to be lied to repeatedly by the customer service agents including the local manager (970-382-1899) and the state manager (303-797-1600 - funny that when we call back we cannot get a person on this number). We are still without a functional can after being promised multiple times that our new one was being delivered "that day". Today we were told that they tried delivering one on the 7th but couldn't because there was trash in the can (NONE - since told couldn't put waste in the broken can). Also told that we didn't request a can until June 8th - though when they look at records it was May 30. Tired of lies and poor service! If given a choice do not use waste management! read more
