they skipped yesterday's pick up , told us our trash can was to heavy? I myself (60 plus senior citizen) can pick it up with ONE hand. Had a EXTREMELY rude customer service rep. telling me I'm lying- it's over 50 pounds. #1- I'm 67 and can lift it MYSELF with ONE hand #2- were 30 plus year paying ON TIME and accusing me of lying??? I set up auto pay for my bill over a year ago and it has never worked. i get charged a late fee every quarter and have to figure out who to call to get it straightened out. Your customer service is absolutely horrible... that is ... if you can even figure out how to finally talk to a real person. Ive had your own employees set up auto pay twice now for my bills and it still doesnt work... and still you charge me a late fee. We have been customers for over 7 years, never had a single issue or complaint... until last week they decided they are now too lazy to get out of their trucks to move our can just a little closer since they are advanced with only using a claw machine. So they took a photo of our trash FULL but a few feet too far away from the road for them to "pick it up" they insisted we pay another free to have them come back and get it during their route. Absolutely not, so we just canceled since they wouldn't come back. So we waited ANOTHER week with endless trash piling up, dealing with animals ripping it open, etc... (we have a large family) they then sent someone to get our can but not our trash (even though we paid this quarter already) and he DUMPED our trash into the driveway and took the can. We fought with the same customer representative repeatedly as she insisted we pay AGAIN (money hungry), until finally transferred to a man who promised it was unprofessional of them and he would send someone TODAY to pick up the scattered bags and trash they dumped. Trash wasn't picked up on the pickup date, the app said the trash wasn't out when it was out for the last 2 days, after hours of waiting for an online chat I was assured that the trash would be picked up in 24-48 hours. That was 3 days ago. Trash is still not picked up. Awful service. read more

It is almost impossible to figure out how to cancel your service. Finally talked to a real person, only to be told that there was a $75 cancellation fee. It is across the board, I was told. Then it was mentioned that I might want to cancel my auto pay so that I don't keep getting charged. Another hour wasted trying to talk to someone there, only to be told that it will cost $8.50 to cancel atutopay. What a scam this company is! Expensive even with the 'discounted' annual pay rate. Drivers can't seem to find house pretty often and if you call in they say 'it was marked complete'. Customer service is polite and tries to help but never ending loop of robo system to talk to a human. Usually get wrong department 'let me transfer you' yesterday just for spite I stayed on hold to see....one hour and twenty seven minutes later!! Someone finally came on and guess what didn't do anything for me. I realize it's just a trash bucket but this company doesn't give .02 about customers. WOW, Unbelievable - there is no way to even sign up for new service! The website refuses to add the service to the cart, the chatbot couldn't help, the real person chat could not help, they gave me the number of the company - which is another automated voice that only asks for your existing account number, which I don't have because I'm trying to set up service. There's no way to talk to a live person and THERE'S NO WAY I'M USING THIS COMPANY based on how much time I've already wasted. read more

My service is in Muskingum County but I could not find a waste management site there so I assume this is the right one. in May I canceled my service but it took me 30 minutes on the phone. They said I would get a refund. In June, I received an email saying they were going to charge me over $300 for services that were never rendered. I canceled the automatic payment, which I thought they would've done when I canceled my services. Subsequently I received calls emails and paper bills saying I was overdue. Once again, I spent over 30 minutes on the phone and they confirmed that I had in fact canceled the services, but would NOT get a refund! Today I got a bill for $369.45! I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the federal trade commission. I would encourage any of you that have similar problems to do the same thing. It is quick and easy. From the other reviews I've read, Waste Management, routinely, raises your rate, but then, if you complain, they will lower it. Price gouging! read more

Truck has been leaking oil on our street for months. A lot of oil. Contacted customer service multiple times, nothing changes.

Customer service needs a lot of work! The driver couldn't get our trash out of the tote so he took the entire trash can and threw it out. If we wouldn't have seen it happen we would not have known what happened. My husband chased the driver down and was told to call the office to order another trash container. We were told that we'd get another by weeks end. It's Friday and still no delivery. Now it's going to be next Thursday. read more

Waste Management is not reliable. This is the 3rd time they didn't pick up our trash on the scheduled day and didn't give us any notice. When I called the CSR said they weren't going to pick it up until the next week because they didn't have enough drivers and although I paid for the service for an entire year there would be no refund for the week they didn't have the manpower to pick up our trash. I told her to cancel our service. She said fine but no refund for the rest of the year either. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said the supervisor wasn't available but she'd mail a check in 4 to 6 weeks. No reference number. No sorry about the lack of service let us try to fix this so we can keep your business. Nothing. When I checked online to see if the cancellation was processed it wasn't . My husband called in to check what was going on and got the same uncaring response from a different person. read more
