On Saturday, November 8th, 2025 between 3 pm and 8 pm the City of Shelbyville held their…read moreCelebration of Lights, formerly called Light Up Shelbyville. This event has morphed into a huge event which is sponsored by Shelby Main Street merchants as well as the City of Shelbyville. Main Street is closed for the afternoon and evening from 4th Street to 7th Street. Transportation to the area was provided Free from Park & Ride locations at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, the County Conference Center on 7th Street, the City parking lot at 2nd & Main, and a stop at 8th & Main. It was advertised that there was going to be over 100 Vendor Booths. Additionally the downtown businesses were going to be open. Musical performances were planned throughout the event. In addition to open businesses. Food Vendors provided a variety of food. Traditional Bank sponsored a Santa's workshop at Stargazer Plaza that included children's activities and photos with Santa. What's a Celebration of Lights without the lighting of a Christmas tree. It happened once dark at 6:30 pm. The weather was great for the event and the crowds were plentiful. Mark your calendars for next year if you missed this event. It's worth leaving the comfort of your home to attend such a well planned event.

They did a first class job and had the product finished on time. The next time I went to use them the business had moved to the Governor Square shopping center. I was back for more trophies for an event I was helping with. Once again they created the perfect trophies, custom made and engraved for the occasion. Several years later I was in search of a business where I could get small vinyl decals printed to use on some cowbells for the local high school. They were able to make the decals from a design they already had in shop for the football teams helmets. Perfect size, fair price, timely availability. (I might mention once again the business had moved and was located on Mt Eden Rd.) The last time I went in search of this business they had moved once again. They are now located on Shelbyville Rd. I was looking for a business that could print some t-shirts. They were able to give me a price quote based on different quantities that might make up the order. Unfortunately, I never ordered the t-shirts as the event was cancelled. If I do need t-shirts in the future I will know just where to go. (That is if they don't move again between now and then.)

Inside, a bit of a jumble of books on two shelves. Most of them children's books with some religious tracts, I some tidying. The inside is in good shape and the books are dry. Nothing that caught my eye today though. This library does not have a plaque on it and it is not located in the Little Free Library database or map. I don't know the sponsor or the charter number.
