The most surprising part of my stay was discovering this place. After taking some touristy pics outside, we decided to go inside. We were welcomed by a monk who had been living in Alaska for a little over 20 years. So I took off my shoes, stepped in and left the freezing cold behind. As we went inside, there was a class in session so we tried not to disturb them. After our brief tour we talked casually about what it's like to live there and if he knows any good places to eat ..Thai food, of course =) Who would of thought that a Thai temple would be all the way out here.
