Also, three connected literary works that address the meaning of life, the comparative value of competing fundamental influences in the course of life, the relationship of the living to death itself, and the potential for true birth through a recalibration of the emotive response mechanism according to an objective perception of increasing values of infinity. Also, simple porcelain hand-formed bowls, abstract sculpture made from driftwood, and quietly resonating ink and pencil works.
History
Established in 2021.
The photographs reference elemental life - the simplicity of infinity, the forces of archetypes, images from dreams. They are about contemplation - they ask the viewer to slow, take a breath, triangulate position, confirm objectives, then press on with vigor.
The waves are constant and forceful, relentless - they flow and clash. In certain light they are spectacular in their beauty, lighting up with greens and blues, or with pure, colorless-crystal transparency. They roll and slide, pirouette together in spouts, fold over one another, push up into the air and glisten in beads of refracted light.
Water is necessary to every form of life we know from the macro to the microscopic, and yet the world's oceans remain increasingly polluted and fresh water is used up at an alarming rate.
Water is everything to us, we should take the time to appreciate it, and to let its influence better guide our decisions.
Meet the Business Owner: William M.
I received my first camera as a child and later earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with high honors from RIT - one of the four premier photography programs in the United States. I was photographing water and glass as a means of visually depicting spiritual/philosophical ideas pertaining to concepts of infinity.
My study in philosophy was concentrated in developing a system to help guide individual decisions towards personal health and well-being in the physical, mental, and spiritual contexts. Extending that interest into law, I focused on the governance and regulation of global financial services organizations and multinational corporations, and later, on the development of the global risk management industry's role in mitigating environmental risk.
In recent years, I have returned my primary focus to art - photographing water's various forms, and to finishing my Archetypes Trilogy, a work of epic philosophical literary fiction on the themes of Life, Death, and Birth.
