After I told him the situation he explained several possibilities of what could be wrong and as busy as he was, he said he'd come the next day but it would be late in the day. Hooray! And he did show up the next afternoon and fixed the problem PLUS he's coming back to fix several other issues. Fair prices, honest and what a friendly man!!! Not because he didn't have one, he was just to lazy to remove it from his truck that was outside Because I had a similar problem, I showed him where to cut the roof to look for the possible problem. He did not bother to listen and cut 2 holes large enough to get his head through, in different areas of the roof. Obviously he did not find anything. He kept on trying to talk up the problem. When I asked him to just to cut a hole where I ask him to cut it he got aggressive and said that if I want him to cut holes in the roof the whole day he will have to charge me for it. Note that at this point he has been at my place for less than 30min, cut two holes where I told him he wont find anything and still have not cut the first hole where I asked him to. When he eventually cut where I asked him to we could see the water seeping trough under a beam. I asked him to cut so we could see on the other side of the beam and he said he will have to bill me. He then went off that it might be the aircon and that he will have to come back with a leak finder and that will cost me $800. I just ask him to go and paid $79 call out for spending less than 45 min, using my ladder and not being able to find the problem. After he left I cut open the roof myself on the other side of the beam and immediately found the water leak on the pipe where I said it would be in the first place.

I…read morerequested a quote to fix two fans that were working intermittently and replace some lightbulbs in my halogen downlights. All the electrician could tell me was that the fan was broken and needed replacing. One fan would have cost me $809 (excl GST). He didn't carry a basic halogen lightbulb, and could only help by replacing the whole halogen system with LED lights. I had to pay $79 for the privilege of him telling me he could do squat. And that's after he turned up well outside the agreed time slot. I ended up getting another electrician the next day who was able to fix both fans and replace the lightbulbs for $350 (incl GST).
