There are many pool maintenance companies in New Orleans- I would NOT recommend that you call WaterDog Pool and Spa Services. Every time they came to clean our pool we could not tell that it had been cleaned. Johnathan and Jessica never stayed more than 5 minutes to clean. Leaves, dirt and other debris was largely ignored, and when we tried to discuss this the Waterdogs told us "we were not a good fit." So if you want pool maintenance people who actually clean your pool- do NOT call the WaterDogs. read more

Johnathan and Jess are just the coolest. Straight up no BS, they hire no other employees, just a lovely young couple that know about pools and keep ours clean and easy. No strangers showing up. They are super reliable always text 20 minutes before they come over. They even brought treats for our dogs. *Please note, they are not there to install a heater or change your pool from fresh to salt. However They do have great references for larger fixes like, leak detection. Jess and John come to make sure it's clean and clear and you can swim hassle free. Ok team water dog rocks!! They helped turn are old pool built in the 70 s blue again. They changed the sand in our filter out for us. any questions we had about up keep and quick fixes where needed. I was pretty excited that these guys answered my call (most don't) and were able to come out the same day to look at my pool. They were super nice and eager to diagnose my pool and help with a non-functioning filter. Unfortunately, I think they lack experience with certain filter types and were unable to help. They were nice enough not to charge me and provided referrals to companies that they thought could help me. So for that reason, I'm giving 3 stars. Ultimately, a company I tried to contact before them got back to me later that day and was able to come the next day to make the repairs needed. Based on other reviews I think they might be a good options for regular maintenance and minor issues (and really, they couldn't be more friendly), but they may need more experience for the larger repairs. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while. Jessica, Jonathan and their team have been servicing my pool every week for almost 2 years. They are fantastic! They're friendly, reliable and very reasonable. I love that ever since I hired them, I don't have to think about the pool at all. They have a key to the gate, show up weekly, and the pool is always clean. I completely trust them and had no worries when I left for the summer. They also love my dogs and I'm a huge fan of dog lovers. I initially called them because "dogs" was in the name, and I'm so glad I did. I researched a few other companies at the time and these guys were clearly the best choice. And not just because of the name. I highly recommend them! Thank you for being so great! read more

These guys are the best. They are professional and highly skilled problem solvers when it comes to our tricky, aging, tree surrounded pool. They communicate any issues and work hard to resolve them. We used their service for about three months. Our biggest issue is that they would come out only on Tuesday when we only utilize the pool on the weekend and holidays. By the time I would get in the pool on Friday, I would have to spend the first 20-30 minutes cleaning out the debris myself and sometimes even brush or vacuum the pool. We asked them to start coming out later in the week on Thursday if possible, and they were unable to accommodate us and explained that they could only come on Tuesday. We asked if they would be able to change it in the future if a slot opened up and we were told that Tuesday is the only time that our pool guy is available in our area. If we swam on Sunday or a Holiday Monday, by that Tuesday, the pool was already cleaned by me, and all they had to do was check the chemicals and add if necessary. The guy even mentioned how clean the pool was one time when he came out and my wife mentioned that it was because we swam the day before and I had cleaned it. Due to this, whenever I got in the pool on a Sunday or a Monday, we asked that they not come back until either Thursday or the following Tuesday as I had already cleaned the pool and did not want to pay $30 just to have them check the chemicals. When they came out after skipping a week, I was told that the pool now had Green Algae and it would cost $75 to get rid of it, and they would have to come out weekly (only on Tuesday) in order to prevent it from happening again. At this point it dawned on me that I was merely paying them to check and add chemicals to the pool and I was doing most of the heavy lifting myself. I asked again if they could start coming out on Thursday so we would not have these issues, and I was told that another company may be a better fit for us. Other than that, they are very reasonably priced, very polite, and easy to get in touch with. I wish they could have been more accommodating, as they provide a great service. read more
