Wateria is my go to water refill spot. I first discovered Wateria in Tustin. Lake Forest is an older spot but has just as friendly a staff as Tustin's and just as good of service. A little more relaxed and cozy feel when you walk into the store. It's a nice stop on the way to our weekly Costco trip. I recommend all the Waterias Lu that I have been too. They have regular water, oxygenated water, and alkaline water. They also sell replacement bottles of different sizes. read more

Drinking water is available at most places whether it is at a big box store, a stand alone water refill station, or a mom and pop shop. There is not much that differentiate the stores apart. When refilling water, I tend to go to the location that is closest to me. Price is usual for drinking water given that South OC has higher prices than North/Central OC. What I like about the store is the alkaline water. Normally, I refill with regular filtered water, but my first time at this location, I was interested in trying out the alkaline water. The alkaline water taste much better. Even though it is a higher cost, it is a great splurge once in a while for the potential health benefits. Maybe 1 gallon of alkaline water a month versus 15-20 gallons of filtered water is a month is a good compromise. Drinking Vinegar Hongcho water, not exactly my choice but they do have pomegranates and lots of berry flavored water. There's a line for the oxygen water and the alkaline water. Bought the whole setup here to have clean water: the stand, the dispenser, and three 5 gallons jugs. As soon as we got home the water started leaking. By the time we set it up, the water was dripping from the dispenser part. We went back the following day, and the gentleman behind the counter was very nice in telling us he would inspect it. He said the factory had been putting the seals inside out and when he put it the right way, the water did stop dripping. He gave us a free 5 gallon water refill since most of it had leaked and was a pain. They change the caps here every time. They also clean the inside and outside of your container before they fill it. Not many people do that. We also got a case of their waters. Super convenient for on the go. The place is very clean and the staff have always been friendly to us. I've been a loyal Wateria customer for about 5 years, but unfortunately I'm very disappointed with their recent price increase. Just before the new year, I was paying $7.50 for 6 gallons of water. Overnight, that jumped to $12 for the same amount. That's a massive increase in a very short time. I truly hope this price hike is reflected in better wages for their employees, but as a customer, it no longer feels like a good value. At this price point, Wateria is now more expensive than buying spring water, which defeats the purpose of using a refill service in the first place. One of the main reasons I chose a refill service was to reduce plastic waste and pollution. Unfortunately, with these new prices, it's becoming harder to justify an option that was supposed to be both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Because of this, I don't think it's worth continuing to use their service. In fact, at these prices, I'm seriously considering installing a reverse osmosis water filtration system at home instead, which would reduce plastic waste even further and make more financial sense in the long run. It's unfortunate to end a 5-year relationship this way, but the new pricing just doesn't make sense anymore. read more

My home reverse osmosis system has a leak and needs some big maintenance, which isn't what we're ready to spend money on right now. But finding half full water bottles all over my house is making me crazy! It's such a waste! My kids play sports so we go through a lot of water. I decided to start filling up some of the 5-gal jugs I have and add a pump to the top. This is working out great. Wateria in Lake Forest is close to my son's school, so I just keep empty bottles in my trunk and fill them weekly. The staff at this location is always super friendly and helpful. They have a choice of purified, oxygenated ($1.25 per gal), and alkaline ($2.50 per gal) water for different prices. There's also different containers to purchase and even purified ice. There's carts to help transport jugs from inside the store to the parking lot. I'm not so concerned about getting my RO system fixed anymore. read more

AVOID! I usually come here every two weeks to get my water jugs refilled but today is the last day I will ever come to this location. Very rude female employee refused to refund an unused water pump I purchased there. I still had my original receipt. She said it must be returned within 30 days (I bought it on May 30 and it is July 2) except it doesn't say anything on the receipt about a 30 days return for refund window. In fact when I purchased it the guy I bought it from there said I could return it at any time. I was purchasing 25 gallons of water and they could have made an exchange instead but didn't. So disappointing. Every time we stopped in we tipped $5 but now they have lost our business forever. read more

This location is okay but nothing like the Laguna Hills location! The customer service leaves a little to be desired here. My sister turned me onto Wateria a few months ago when she got fed up buying individual electrolyte water bottles from Whole Foods. I don't blame her! She first started going to the Laguna Hills location and loved it, she brought me in and I loved all of the different kind of water jugs you could pick from! Plastic or glass! Want a cute stand for your water jug?! They got you! Want a cute glass bottle for on the go? Noo problem! I have no problem with the taste of the water either, it tastes very fresh and pure! Only thing I have a problem with is the customer service at this location. They sold my sister a defective jug {it was a slow leak she found about 10 days later} She didn't have the receipt but tried to explain it to the young employee and he said "No we can't do anything for you." We bought it from this store less than 10 days ago. Dude wasn't budging. They just are blasé and going through the motion working. They don't really go out of the way for you. Usually they put a plastic liner on your lid for your water jug and here they don't do that. They just do the bare basics. I'd definitely make the extra drive and go to the Laguna Hills location. They clean your containers with love. Nothing against this location, just not my favorite one. read more

I have a few freshwater fish tanks in my home and have our RO system set up. Our system was down, and I needed around 20 gallons of RO water for our tanks. I had my own seven 2.5-gallon containers that I brought into the store. Kevin was working and was personable, polite, and professional. He was super helpful for someone who was a first-time visitor and needed clarification on how things worked. He explained everything and the cost, and we had a pleasant conversation about the fish hobby. They had several spigots that could fill my containers up simultaneously, and they were filled before I could lug them back to the car. If I can rate ZERO, I would love to because I do not even want to give one star. This lady gave me the worst experience as a customer EVER. I encountered the worse customer service today. I arrived before the closing time, but I was told that it is close and I have to wait until tomorrow. It was a mid-age lady, who wears glass, told me that she can do nothing about the store closing. I told her that the opening time stated that it will be open until 8pm. She told me that it is closed because the store closes at 7:45pm. I told her that everywhere states this store opens till 8pm. She said she cannot serve the water due to the water system being shut off by the owner. I wanted to talk to the owner because the store supposed to serve customers until the closing time. I planned to give her a nice tip after getting my water because she called the owner for me. However, she refused to provide any contact information to me. She also refused to call the owner. Once she called a person for two seconds and told me that she tried but no one picked up. This is the only time I saw her calling the "owner". After being stopped by the lady, and multiple conferrals and stalls, the lady told me that it has been 8 and the store closes. I kept telling her that I arrived before the closing time and she refused to serve water to me. I asked her to talk to the owner and she refused. At the time I was inside the store, she threw my bottles out of the store. I just want my water and I think I deserve my water because I arrived before the closing time. After almost an hour, and the next door concerned neighbor called the police, this lady changed her story, by telling everyone the first time, that the water machine broke, and that's the reason why she cannot serve water. When I arrived, she told me that the owner shut off the system, and never mentioned the system broke until an hour later. She then called a person, speaking Mexican to that person, and that person told me that the water pipe broke. It is not credible because she first told me that the store will open tomorrow and I can get my water first thing tomorrow. If the system broke, I cannot get my water first thing tomorrow. In addition, the store was open and no sign whatsoever stated that no water can be served because the machine broke. Finally the sheriff deputies arrived, and I was asked to take my business elsewhere. I suspect that she is the owner because I remember one time I arrived after 9am (open time 9am) in the morning, a lady (possibly her) asked me to wait because it is not open yet. I waited till almost 10 AM then she finally can serve water to me. This lady gave me the worst experience as a long time customer for that specific store. I have to take my business to elsewhere because this is not the way to treat a customer. I feel like I am being treated UNFAIRLY and UNREASONABLY. What is the whole point for open and close time if you cannot stick to it? IF YOU WANT TO CLOSE AT 7:30 PM, PUT THE CLOSING TIME AS 7:30PM. IF YOU START SERVING WATER AT 10AM, PUT THE OPEN TIME AS 10AM. read more

If I could leave a negative star I would. My boyfriend came in today, like we do WEEKLY, to fill up TWO 5 gallon jugs. AFTER we fill up, the cashier says their machine is down, has been all day, then proceeds to ask if we can LEAVE to get cash. We say no, because we have things to do and they already wasted TWENTY minutes of our time dicking around waiting for a response from the manager on "how to proceed"... They we suggest that we leave our number for the manager to call us for payment, or since we come weekly, we could pay next time. They say no, then DUMP 10 GALLONS OF ALKALINE WATER OUT. Talk about a waste! Not only is it unacceptable to wait until AFTER you fill up the jugs to inform the customer that your credit card machine is down, it's even more unacceptable to WASTE that much water, especially when the customer is a loyal, weekly customer. We will NOT be returning. Horrific to see them have no consciousness for the water either. read more

When they're all done they'll even dry your bottles and cover any spouts to make sure your car stays dry. The employee working was friendly and the store felt clean. Went in this afternoon because of people panic buying out all the water at the local grocery stores. I was informed the 5 gallon jugs were out of stock and they had only a couple 3 gallon jugs left. No biggie, then he informed me they were $19.50 + tax each. I asked why the smaller jug was more expensive than the post price of the 5 gallon jugs and he said they aren't, the 5 gallons are now more expensive. I discovered this place on accident and I am so happy I did! The water here is so good (yes, there is a difference). You can bring in your empty bottles (1 gallon or 5 gallons are the only ones I have brought so I am not sure if the do anything else), they will rinse your bottle on the inside and then proceed to fill it up with either PH water or filtered water...whatever you prefer. The customer service is great, everyone I have dealt with is very nice. The process to get your bottles filled is very quick, this is officially my new water spot. read more
