We received two bids basically the same but decided to go with cayton based on a neighbor . We…read moregreatly regret that decision and the neighbor agrees now . It has not been a good experience at all. The sales guy Eric V. Has proven not to be honest and reliable . The workers who show up to do the work are awesome and decent people . Our first experience which should have given us a clue, was when we had an appointment for Eric to come over and look at our house and give us a quote. Our appointment was at 10am. I was sitting in the living room and well after 10 am , Darrin called him to see if he got lost ... he proceeded to give Darrin attitude saying he was at our house at 9:45 and we didn't answer the door . So Darrin asked me why I didn't answer and I said because no one knocked on the door . Eric said he couldn't come back until 12:30. We had other plans but we wanted the estimate so we delayed them . Well, we have ring door bell.. so guess what ? He didn't come to our house ( even though clearly he had our address). Darrin called him back to let him know. When he showed up at 1230 he apologized because he went to two houses over instead of ours. That is minor but we just got more of the same after we signed the contract. We ran into problems with Eric and The worst part is the company owner refused to take our call saying he was too busy and whatever Eric says he stands behind, he's " his man". Well I guess we are old fashioned and honesty is important to us . Won't go into details but we are now talking with rinnai corporate about the outstanding issues. Hoping they can help or get involved with the local business . No matter how long you are in business you should care about the truth and doing the job you are paid to do . Sadly cayton has wrung us out on multiple issues. Update : a call with Rinnai customer service revealed that Cayton is not a certified dealer which might explain their lack of knowledge installing the wireless module ( though we were not told that by cayton). If you want a certified dealer , check with Piedmont Gas, has we known that's where we would have gone . But Rinnai Corp is going to take care of us and we don't recommend James l. cayton for anything .

He does good work, and he goes the extra mile to figure out complex problems and save you money…read more That matters most. Lizard with a ladder also upholds the stereotypes of contractors. We had him out several times, and he missed his promised time every single time. We had to call several times when he forgot he was supposed to be at our job. Still, once he was there, he would work diligently and make every effort to do things the right and best way, not the easiest way. He did not take shortcuts, and you want an electrician who cares about doing your wiring correctly. He also took the time to solve problems we presented that were not part of the original plan, and he added them in at a fair price. This probably explains why he was often late. It can be hard to know how long a job will take, especially when you are doing your best to do things safely and correctly and taking the time to do it right. So we were understanding about that, once at our house, he often stayed longer than scheduled to make sure we were happy and the job was done correctly. We will use him again.

A Harsh Lesson in Trust: Thousands Paid, Zero Relief from Delcor's Broken Promises. As someone who…read moreco-financed the HVAC installation with Delcor, I felt compelled to share my own perspective, because this ordeal hasn't just cost us money; it's cost us trust, time, and peace of mind. From the outset, we were sold a vision of reliability. A reputable company, a full-service experience, and the comfort of knowing our tenant would be taken care of. What we received instead was a dysfunctional unit from day one. Two weeks later, it's still not working--and not a single person at Delcor is stepping up to resolve the issue in any meaningful way. I'm not just speaking as a frustrated customer--I'm speaking as someone who tried to do everything right. We didn't go with a cut-rate contractor. We chose a well-known company and paid upfront for a full system. That trust was met with radio silence, departmental runarounds, and a shocking lack of urgency. Let me be clear: the unit had defects from the moment it was declared "installed." It leaked. It was missing critical components. And instead of taking accountability, Delcor has chosen delay over resolution. They continue to request final payment for a job that isn't done. Not working. Not livable. In the meantime, we had no choice but to spend more out of pocket for a temporary cooling solution--just so a human being wouldn't have to suffer in an unconditioned space during a heatwave. If you're thinking of hiring Delcor, ask yourself this: What happens if the install goes wrong? Who will pick up the phone? Who will stand by their work? Based on our experience, the answer is no one. This review isn't about venting--it's about warning. If you're looking for true end-to-end service, or a company that takes responsibility when things go south, I urge you to look elsewhere. The cost of choosing wrong goes far beyond dollars.

I had National Waterheater replace my waterheater to the tankless. What a disaster. The man that…read moreserviced me was from Rocky Mount in 2021. I paid extra for them to run the lines correctly in order to get hot water to the back of my house as well as a line for logs and a grill. Well they left some of the connections loose under my house (my house could have blown up) and the grill line never ran. I had problem after problem I called this team back at least 6 times & after so many times and the problem still not fixed you get tired of talking to the person. Rinnai replaced the module and still did not work, then he said i must have the timer so I purchased the timer and still did not work. I gave up on these people as they were obviously clueless. I called in another company paid 360.00 for a diagnostic turns out this just means they call Rinnai and troubleshoot over the phone, some how NWH had the system hooked up wrong and I got hot water for 2 days. I am now 3 years into dealing with the same problem. We called Delcor this is the company you need to call they charge 130.00 to come out but please now this tech will not leave until your problem is 100 % certain it is resolved. He had this fixed in 2 hours yes he too was on the phone trouble shooting with Rinnai and turns out it was a connector not of Rinnai brand in the back of the house that was not working correctly. I will call DELCOR every time, I believe the techs name is Jeff who is also friendly with great work ethics. Do not waste your time with NWH.

Update review 6/12/26. My initial experience was positive; Kaden diagnosed the source of the leak, which is the only reason I gave 1 star. However, when it came to repairing the shower, communication and professionalism were issues. 5/21/26: 2 workers came as stated to start the demo, and after assessing the size and removal of the shower material, I was told they would return on 5/26/26. Before leaving, one of the repairmen requested a payment but didn't provide an amount. I called the office while he was here to request an invoice so I could pay with my credit card. I never received it, and they were a no-show. I sent an email on 5/31/26 and received no response, but I knew it was read that same day based on the email tracking. My husband called on 6/4/26 anI was told that the repairman felt they couldn't handle the project and needed extra help, and that demo would start on 6/8/26 and be done within a week. Well, that never happened. 3 repairmen showed up on 6/8/26 and had no idea what was going on. My husband and son were told that the mo would start on 6/9/26, and it was another no-show. I then messaged on 6/9/26 to say that this business is unprofessional and that we no longer needed their services. I also questioned items on the initial invoice that weren't provided or needed.
