Found Waterloo at peak evening commuting hours to be an absolute painful experience. Expect others to come into your personal space, bump you and then bump you some more as they try to move quickly to whatever train is needed. Getting to Waterloo from Windsor I found the rail trip to be a long and gang like experience--expect London youth to become agitated on the commuter train. Service staff was not too helpful to assist with transfers, problems with purchased round trip tickets, etc. So not for the faint of heart, and if you are typically not good at navigating public transportation then this experience should be skippable. I didn't find anything near the station outside or inside to make the trip worthwhile. I believe I quickly after coming to this station lost my apetite for public transportation and sought car service. read more
