Although I was born in Ontario, lived here all my life, and meet the requirements for an OHIP card, I cannot have one according to this office. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I appreciate that it's a difficult job, however I was dismissed and laughed at at this location. I bought a semi-detached home, built as a semi-detached home in 1986, however because their system doesn't recognize my address, they will not issue me an OHIP card. My drivers license was generated without issue, however because my address isn't "liked" by their system, I no longer get a new health card. I politely suggested they open a ticket with, for example, an IT department, or escalate my issue to someone who could help. This was met with sarcasm, smirking, and dismissiveness. Staff was unwilling to do anything to attempt to rectify the fact that their "system" was incorrect. "How then, may I obtain an OHIP card?", my follow up question, was met with shrugging and more sarcasm. I had to contact my MPP to assist. These people do not care, take no pride in their work, have no answers, and cannot escalate their own issues. Many Service Ontario locations are private contractors, not actually Service Ontario. You can phone Service Ontario to find an actual government-run office at 1-800-268-7095. I suggest going out of your way to attend one in person.

Went last week and the "service" person almost charged me twice for the Drivers License renewal fee until I stopped her. She also issued me a temporary OHIP card with incorrect information. Returned this week to have that corrected and was immediately and rudely told by another front line rep there is nothing she can do as per Head Office. Instead of making sure if she was actually correct she kept being argumentative with me. She finally called head office and turned out she was wrong and she could in fact fix the information. Not even an apology from her. Such great quality of service! SMH.

The building is located at King Street North and Lodge Street. I was here with my manager to interview students for the summer work term. It was our first time at Laurier. As a visitor, I had to apply for a temporary parking pass online. It's allows me to park at any white or gold permit parking lot. The catch at this building is that there a small parking lot when you pull in from Lodge Street. If you get there before 8:30 am, you can nab a spot, which happened to us. However, you get there later, you need to park further away. The Co-operating Education area is on the second floor. We walked up the stairs. I don't know if there is an elevator in this building, but I didn't see one. The building is bright and pleasing to the eye. We were greeted immediately by a staff member and shown to a boardroom where we were to conduct our interviews. We were assigned a co-ordinator, who made sure that the candidates were led to a room to do a test. After the allotted test time was up, my manager would take the candidate over to the boardroom next door and have us conduct the interview. The test room and boardroom were next to each other. I loved that arrangement. What stands out is how hospitable everyone was. We got the tour of the floor and where we should be. Scott, our co-ordinator, made sure that we were taken care of. He got my manager tea and hot water. I had brought in a massive, free venti iced cinnamon cloud macchiato from Starbucks before I hit the road. I was caffeinated and good. Our interviews were seamless and everything worked well. The boardroom accommodated our laptop needs. Wifi was available. However, there is a timeout after roughly an hour, which is a pain to enter all login credentials again. I had a great experience here. I can finally say that I have stepped foot on the campus of Wilfred Laurier University. (118)

When a school is confined to a one block radius, a tight family feel is just the beginning of your experience. The people are friendly, and the profs actually get to know you since class sizes can range from 12-200. The food on campus is a little bleh. Since they got rid of Spring Rolls in the Food Court the options are a little slim, but after pulling an all nighter, anything edible pretty much gets the job done. Washrooms! For some weird reason compared to other schools, Laurier has A LOT of washrooms. And by that I mean if you walk into the Schlegel building, there are 5 washrooms within a 30 second walk in different directions. All clean and well kept. Study Space can be an issue though, especially for group projects. Try booking out library rooms a week in advance to get the space you need! Otherwise you'll be peaking in every classroom in desperate need of study space. The gym is also pretty solid. A newly renovated building with 4 dance studios, a gym, a pool, and 2 floors of cardio and weight equipment. Heads up, there's a washroom on the second floor! Lesson learned after I ran up and down 4 stories in the middle of dance class just to find a washroom right beside the studio I was in! Overall, worth checking out. Small schools aren't for everyone, but check it out to decide for yourself.

A lot of screaming kids jumping and banging on everything. It is nice to be family friendly but if you are adults or without kids, I would avoid coming during weekends and summer holidays or just skip completely.

What *is* surprising and impressive is that WPL has on numerous occasions had books that weren't available at KPL and TPL. Their office hours are widely accessible, many stay behind after lectures for any questions, most are simply not just slide readers, and many profs incorporate real-life concepts into their lectures. Sure the social life isn't the best, but that's why you attend Bomber Wednesdays, join clubs, make friends in classes, etc. I'm currently in my last year in UWaterloo, and overall I have been satisfied with what this university offered me, and hopefully it would be a stepping stone towards the future for me.

I haven't stepped foot on this campus since I was in my last year of high school, trying to figure out where I wanted to do my undergraduate studies. It was my first time visiting the William M. Tatham Centre for Co-operative Education & Career Action. We parked in lot H and hiked a moderate slope up to the building. The employer reception area was easy to find. We were greeted promptly. We took the elevator to the third floor, as I had my rolling computer bag. We used offices that are normally occupied by administrative staff. They were tiny, but served our purpose well when we had to interview a total of six students. There is a button on the wall. You press it and the co-op scheduled at that time comes by. It was a nice touch! We all need a button like that everywhere we go. There is a cafe on the first floor. I didn't have to use it, but it's nice to know that it's there. There are two water fountains by the elevator on each floor. We could also use the staff lunch room if we wanted to. Wifi is available for employers and students. Great! At the end of our day, we checked out. There were buttons in a bowl. I asked the woman whether I could take one. Not only could I take one, she led me to her stash of colourful U of W pins and hand sanitizer! I thanked her. I felt like a prospective student again, except with more work and life experience. It was nice to be reacquainted with the university.
