I ordered the flowers, picked certain colors for the flowers for a reason, had ordered a ribbon with a certain saying and paid for it all with my credit card. I get to the funeral service and what do I see? I see that the whole arrangement had been changed. Apparently, I was told that the biological mother had called the shop, spoke to the same person that I ordered the arrangement from, and she completely changed what the original order was. The owner,who personally knows the biological mom, never reached out to me or the father of the deceased, to verify that such changes should be made. Mom was not paying for that arrangement, WE were. I reached out to the owner of the flower shop the following business day and informed her of the situation that occurred and expressed that she did not have the authorization to change our order just because "mom" wanted something else. Mom should have placed her own order of flowers and not be concerned about our flowers. I asked for a refund because I did not get what I ordered. Wrong flowers, wrong colors, wrong ribbon etc. Why should I have to pay for something that this shop changed without my permission just because they know the other party involved. She did credit half of it and told me she refused to deal with me anymore. I firmly believe that I am entitled to a full refund and she should be charging the other party for those flowers that were paid by us but not our order. Completely disappointed in the service I received at a difficult time that we are already dealing with. What's even more disappointing and appalling is it's the owner of the establishment that did this and there is no one else for me to reach out to to resolve this issue besides maybe the Better Business Bureau. Would love to be able to post the photos of what we ordered vs. what was received. We purposely called the order in so that if there was an issue they could advise us of it. Vibrantly colored roses and carnations, etc., were substituted with dead looking brown and yellow mums. (I'm talking the entire bouquet, not just a flower or two substitution.) Seriously?! No answer on the phone to resolve this. There was a reason for the colors and flowers we chose; thanks for ruining the occasion. And now I have to contact my credit card company to resolve this on my own.

She arrived an hour early to help set everything up which was SO helpful. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I had wanted. She had tulips, hydrangeas, daisies, and a few other spring time flowers, along with a few succulents and even a few pussy willows! The arrangements were the appropriate size and style for the shower and tables. I had requested a "flower buffet" type of thing, so that the attendants of the shower could make a bouquet to take home with them. She brought the flowers in these huge rustic tins, all cut and read to go. She had shears also so people could cut them even smaller if they wanted, and was ready to assist anyone. She had helpful tips for how to keep the flowers fresh. I absolutely love Christy's.. what I would describe as a raw and rustic aesthetic! She has a true passion not only for flowers, but for gardening and growing those flowers naturally. I am truly excited to be working with her for my wedding coming up in May as well, as I know everything will be beautiful! What I didn't expect was the huge expansion they have gone through - ALL without me :( They have so much stuff at this place you really need to prepare to spend some time just looking around. AND let me tell you about price - I have been to the big place called Gullo's and this place knocks the prices off the big shops out near Buffalo! Hamlet Farms is one of those roadside places that you must stop at and browse. You never know what you will find.

They have a ton of plants to pick from - even early on in the season. From annuals and perennials of flowers and then vegetables, tropical indoor to amazing outdoor plants. And unlike some places - the people who work here grow the plants - so guess what - they are extremely knowledge and trustworthy too! Ok - normally I go for cleanliness - but come on - this is about dirt! What about organization - from one greenhouse to the next - and trust me they have many - you will see a huge selection - so organization is by plants. Sharon took care of me today because grandma Barns wasn't there, but her plants were! I purchased some humming bird attracting vine for hanging baskets - talk about a deal and was even told how to make them come back next year! I also bought an angel leaf fern - pretty cool looking fern and she taught me how to take care of it and clean it out! Of course my basil isn't ready yet, but I will be back. Sharon also told me about the lemon basil and how good it is with fish and that the cinnamon basil is excellent for pork - now where else can you go and get cooking tips from the person selling you plants? Their new greenhouse is also "State of the Art" amazing and there isn't one greenhouse that is off limits to you - simply amazing! Don't worry about parking - plenty of that. And if your hands are full - don't worry - they will help bring it to your vehicle - the nicest and friendliest people in the business! This surely gets my 5 star and I encourage everyone to check them out!
