It's a long story and I won't go into it, but they will not get another dime from me. This morning I called Waters and found they had the mower I wanted. They had just got it the day before so it wasn't in stock yet so they called someone in to receive it (this is on a Saturday btw.) I went in and bought it. Not an hour later it was delivered topped off on oil and gas ready to go. Delivery was free and they expressed to me that they have on site mechanics if I should have issues with it or need service. (They will come pick it up, fix it, and bring it back.) I am very impressed with the experience and Shawn was extremely helpful. My previous experience with this store was last year when I rented an auger. I rented for 3 days. It started smoking and choking on day 2 so I took it back. They were very friendly and refunded the third day plus extra for my trouble. I can now say that I'm super happy with my experiences at this store. For those that have put up bad reviews, I'm sure that you probably went in with a bad attitude to a person that had no clue of your situation and received a mirrored response. No matter what the situation is if you treat people with respect they will do the same. From now on Waters will get all of my business for home improvement needs.

I had ordered a cotton candy machine for a sorority event and they did not give me all the parts to set it up. I called the next day and was given permission by a warehouse employee to keep it an extra day and return in 2 days after I picked it up. However, it still never worked. When I returned it I wanted to let them know about the missing parts even though I had already called a day prior. When Mike came up he accused me of lying and said it was my fault for not calling. He didn't know I had already talked to one of the employees the day before who gave me permission to keep it a day extra. He was hesitant to give me any money back (which is not what I wanted I just wanted better communication) and questioned my intelligence. I am a college student and have NEVER seen a business more poorly ran and managed than this one. When I emailed the owner Rusty about how Mike had treated me he called me and said "well he gave you your money back so what else do you expect me to do." He did not care AT ALL how I was treated and even accused me of being demanding. He blamed me and told me to "get over it, it's a cotton candy machine." Save your money next time.

We even had them repair a chainsaw and rototiller. They special ordered a few things for us. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, eager, and kind. I am glad their hours are posted prominently and they are dependable. Their store is clean easy to navigate, and well stocked.

Took it to new house and left it in box until 16 November when I moved the old stove out and installed the new one. The stove top burners worked, but the screen was dead and oven didn't work. Called Menards that day. Kid asks, did you unbox it? No, I managed to hook it up and start it in the box, WTH kind of stupid question was that? But, I said yes. He says it's not their problem since it's past 7 days. It was a total of 13 days from purchase. If it was still boxed and wrapped, then 30 days. Since I unboxed it I have to go through Whirlpool. Spoke with store manager and was told sorry that's the policy. So no Thanksgiving meal cooked, nothing cooked in there for Christmas either. So they don't tell you about this 7 day policy, and you don't see anything about it until you get your receipt and aren't likely to look at that print on the bottom of your receipt, and by then it's too late anyway. Manager tells me if I would have bought the store brand. Criterion, I could replace it for up to a year. Totally deceptive practice that I plan on reporting to State of Kansas AG. I spend thousands of dollars at Menards every year since the Manhattan store was built, but never again.
