While, I'm glad you read the review and appreciate you providing a response, you have not addressed my concerns in the review including the lack of cleanliness on the first floor or any estimated timeframe for the redesign that you referred to while I am paying the amenity fee. It has now been over 6 months with no estimate for completion. The fact that the lobby has been in disrepair and there is no gym. A deal with Crunch is not something that I can utilize. consistent hot water in my apartment has been an issue ever since the hurricanes almost a year ago. At first, I barely had hot water for several months. Then they were working on the apartments on the first floor that flooded (and still are) and I was told that the workmen inadvertently kept shutting off a valve which left me with no hot water. Most recently, about 70% of the time I have had to run the water in the bathtub in order for me to get hot water in my kitchen sink. I continually put work orders in and send emails, but if hot water is coming out at the time maintenance comes, the maintenance request is marked completed. unfortunately, I then have the same problem the next day and this remains an issue and has been for a very long time. read more

A lot of changes and issues since the hurricane. Manager here was kind and patient although I was very angry when issues with my dog came up. (I was served eviction letter saying they didn't know about my animals). Funny bc they are ESA animals that visited the management office daily before the hurricane. I guess the old management didn't document them and it caused a problem with new management. Regarding the hot water, I called every few days about the issue, management was aware for 3 months. One new management came in they got hot water back on, but no credits were ever made for 3 entire months of no hot water. read more

While we have yet to move in our leasing process has been flawless to say the least! Charlie has been great at communicating with us throughout our leasing process. Waters Pointe could not be in a more perfect location. With many of its units overlooking Boca Ciega Bay these apartments have an absolutely amazing view! Look closely when visiting. Note there is one maintenance person. I went 6 months with out a dishwasher. The management is awful, grounds are yucky and dog poop everywhere, poop cans overflowing every day no bags, fleas in dog park. You decide!! read more

I'm new to the area looking for a new place to reside. I found this place Waters Point apartments and it looked very nice on line. The prices seemed a little high, but slightly lower than others. I went by to take a look and it is in a great location and looked beautiful. When I was walking around the back of the property I noticed a strong urine smell and the dog park had holes dug in and did not look to clean. There was dog feces that no one had picked up to. I also noticed that there was a little party going on and decided to ask about the place. I was kinda taken back by some of the responses, like if you're going to move here, you might want to know that the pool and amenities they advertise are not what it says. The pool is only open during office hours and not on Sunday also the Gym is advertised as 24 hours but again only when the office is open. I was there during office hours however the office looked closed. The door and shades where closed so I went on and walked around. There was also dog poo on the sidewalk, people smoking, cigarette butts in a few places, and more than one person giving a heads up on the increase in rent during this pandemic, and that management just gives basic answers to appease you, but doesn't do anything about these problems. It is a shame because it is a beautiful place , but 1,500-1,900 for a 1 bedroom apt is a bit pricy for what I had seen and heard. guess I'm still on the look. read more

If I could give no star they still wouldn't deserve that. Where should I begin? When we moved they are almost 2 years ago we fell in love with the place. Even though it was an old building it was kept up. The new management came in. The first thing they did was fix outside things that really weren't high priority. Like doors on a dumpster closure or telling people that they had to go smoke way out in the parking lot. Instead of fixing the leaky roofs that were causing ceilings on the fifth floor to cave-in and paint melting off the walls because there was water dripping down the walls between the paint and the cement. After that they decided to put on a new roof to the cost of millions of dollars. So of course rent went up anywhere from $300-$500 a month. That was supposed to take about three months and even though we've moved out now from what I understand it is going on 10 months that this roof is still being repaired. So for $2200 a month your view went from Boca Ciega Bay to Porta potty's, dumpsters overflowing with crap from the roof and gigantic trucks parked in front of peoples doorways taking up prime parking in an already too small parking lot. They used no tarps or any way to protect our balconies and patios so then on a daily basis there was roofing there was glue there was food that they were eating up there all over our balconies and patios. And we were told that it was our fault and our responsibility to clean it up not theirs. Absolutely nothing has been done on the inside of the building. Elevators are broken for a month at a time and this is a five story building so people living up on the fifth floor needed to take stairs if you were handicapped, elderly or not. The water is shut off to the whole building at least 2 to 3 times a week so they can make repairs on the boiler. People were losing their air-conditioning because the roofing company kept making mistakes and cutting air conditioning lines. There is mold growing in all the apartments which they say is not black mold so if you want to prove them wrong you have to hire a company to come in and do it. The doors that you are supposed to be able to control with the key fob. are always broken and open. Hallways are always sticky dirty filthy with garbage. You can't use the handrails because it's so caked with dirt. The dishwashers have dirty filthy water they get backed up into them if you don't use them all the time so then your whole apartment smells like sewage. Anytime you have any complaints or ask for maintenance to come in, they say it's not their responsibility, it's yours. We were having headaches and bad coughing fits and weren't quite sure why. So we looked at the filter in our air conditioner and heating unit and it must not have been changed for two years. They told us that it was our problem and we were supposed to come and get one from them and change it. When we moved in the apartment was barely cleaned and our floors were filthy caked with dirt. But yet when you go to move out even if you do clean and have the apartment in perfect condition they still charge you a $200 cleaning fee. Their resort style pool and cabanas look like they should be thrown in the garbage. The cabanas are ripped, they no longer hang fully on the cabanas, they bought some new ones and didn't bother to put the top on a couple of them so there was no protection from the sun, the pillows on the chairs are all moldy and dirty, the umbrellas are broken so most of the tables don't even have any protection from the sun, they also had a light which the whole fixture was broken and it's still sits there with the bare bulb out and shards of glass all over. If that wasn't enough, there was a resident this summer who had an arsenal of guns and ammo in his apartment with a plan to shoot up the pool when everyone was there. He of course was arrested but they didn't bother to notify any of the tenants of the situation. He was supposed to not come back to the complex but has been seen there numerous times since the incident. Also even worse on Thanksgiving day there was a sad situation where a tenant decided to end his life. He decided to sit in one of the lounge chairs by the pool and shoot himself in the head. No management could be contacted by the police. Although things were cleaned up within a day there was never any information or contact from management to make the tenants aware of what had happened. Come to find out that the bullet ricocheted off a tree and went into a third-floor apartment right through the slider. No one was hurt. I could go on and on and we only lived there for under two years with the amount of complaints we have with this complex. Management and staff is rude, condescending, and never to be found. They blame Covid for them not being in the office or answering phones. It's the worst place I have ever lived in, in my whole life. read more

We moved to Waters Pointe in March. The property is beautiful and the views are great. All of the staff has been super friendly and any issues we have had have been taken care of quickly. They are constantly making improvements to the property to make it look nice and keep it updated, like painting the exterior, adding all new pool furniture... It is an older building but kept up nicely and it is fairly quiet between units as it is a concrete building. Everyone who lives here is very friendly and there seems to be a good mix of ages. We looked at a ton of properties before moving here from Ohio and this was the best location/view/price that is pet friendly. We are very happy here and would highly reccomend visiting if you are considering moving to the area. read more

WOW!!! Thanks all for the comments. Checked an apartment out here on Friday and that first I noticed was how bad the 1st floor hallway was. (gross, cluttered, smelly and hot) ...Had an appointment to view another, but after reading these experiences I think not. Also looked at the one time fees. This is a great place to live. The location can not be beat if you want to be directly on the water. The grounds are kept beautifully. Wonderful HUGE pool directly on the water. I love seeing the dolphins every day. My apartment has spacious rooms and a very large balcony. The vintage building is getting a bit of a face lift with new paint. Lots of character here. The building is super friendly. Residents speak, hold doors and elevators for each other. I have absolutely no complaints. It is worth every penny that we pay in rent. Cheryl is the leasing Manager. She sold us the unit over the phone which was really no easy feat. Call her! You won't regret it. read more

This complex is beautiful. The maintenance department does an amazing job keeping the grounds beautiful. The apartments are really nice and have a lot of storage. The location is great. Here is what I would caution you about: -Get EVERY communication with the office in writing. I recommend sending the office an email after any and all interactions beginning with "per our conversation" This will help you protect yourself. -We did not have power throughout the complex for days in the summer and were on a loud, large generator for weeks until repairs could be made. Be aware that this is an older property with many preventative maintenance items that should be taken care of. -The elevators are constantly broken. They are fixed within a few days, but you cannot be confident they will work and be willing to take the stairs. - Be prepared for your lease renewal amount to increase each cycle. The office will want to charge the current market value. It can (will) increase hundreds of dollars. -Read your lease. If you should need to move out, you might choose the option to pay rent until your apartment is rented. I recommend advertising your place via social media. This also may be one of your most unpleasant experiences at WP. Remember the office staff are not your friends and at the end of the day, it is business and about profits. Again, get EVERYTHING in writing. read more
