But Maine Film Center was listed with showtimes, so I decided to give this new place a try! And I'm so glad I did! The building and amenities are all new and stunning! The theater was small but had very comfortable seats (all with cup holders). The audio and visual quality was excellent too. I bought a small popcorn too and it was the best popcorn I've ever had at a movie theater! The popcorn kernels had great natural flavor and were enhanced only with a sprinkle of salt and the optional butter, which tasted like real melted butter. There was no taste of icky oils and powders like at other movie theaters. However, for those wanting a bolder flavor, there was an array of popcorn seasonings on the counter for customers to add to their popcorn if they so choose. The staff was also pleasant and helpful, helping me with my transactions, pointing me in the direction of restrooms, and answering any of my questions. I highly recommend the Maine Film Center and I look forward to going back!
