I started work late to make time to deal with a tooth that was no longer sore after a two day wait. I was referred to as an 'emergency' which alerted me to the potential for additional charges even though I assured the staff I was no longer in pain. I waited 30 minutes to be seen for 15 minutes after which time it was decided that I would need to return at a later date as the light on the dentist's chair wasn't working- though I was offered filling by mobile phone lighting! The x-ray room was also unavailable though it was advised that x-rays were recommended to ensure the work wasn't as simple as it appeared. Recommended work was quoted at $560 for a filling, x-rays and a clean in three weeks' time. I walked away $66 lighter, no better off except for 2 sample toothpastes read more
