A large marina located north of Waupoos Island, Prince Edward County, Ontario CN. The marina is definitely rustic, not modern, but my wife and I actually found this to be a charming quality about the place. Docks are in decent shape. Power and water at the slips. Staff respond to VHF Marine radio calls and were very helpful and friendly. There is a small store, but not the kind of store to provision and stock your galley. There are no grocery stores within walking or biking distance, but there is a shop nearby that sells goods like jelly, jams, sauces and that kind of thing and the shop is associated with the nearby winery. Only one restaurant within walking distance - a bar that serves bar food (and they asked if we had a reservation). Waupoos Winery within walking distance - worth the walk! Marina staff allowed us to use a couple of old bikes from a collection to ride around the area. Grounds are large and if you explore, you may find some interesting old stuff to look at. The marina is protected somewhat by a shallow man made break wall but when the winds pick up over the Bay of Quinte, it can be tricky to dock a single screw. Fuel and pump out services available. Outdated laundry and washrooms available for boaters all come with additional charge, but adequately kept. $1.70 a foot for a transient slip per night (that's a little on the pricey side for this area). They also charge for garbage disposal - per bag. On site marine mechanic. We would definitely stay there again. read more
