I've never seen so many sewing/craft books or nutrition/diet/cooking books in one library in my life - and I used to frequent the main library in NYC (yeah--the one from Ghostbusters). Many locals seem to take advantage of the free WiFi and computer usage, which is awesome. The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't find a nice spot away from the center of things to work remotely. That kind of stunk - it was just distracting to not even have a cubby to sit at. No soft chairs or inviting quiet spots, either. Bathrooms are clean, librarians are helpful, and parking is ample. If you haven't checked it out and you're in the area, it's definitely worth a look!

There are also a few public art pieces, including one that's part of the town's Art Trail. Staff was very friendly! I spent some time talking to them about their building, programs and community. They have a real gem here and it's the only library in the town.

They have so many cool prizes like free passes to the Milwaukee Public Museum, the state fair, a mallard's game, etc. They also have an adult summer reading challenge as well as a fall one. I participate in both each year and they have gift card raffles & small prizes for adults too which is awesome! The library also hosts lots of cool events like author events, puzzle competitions, historical events, etc. There are SO many things to do and get involved with and opportunities to learn. They also have an incredible collection of books and "book club bags" complete with multiple copies of popular books and a question guide for book clubs! They're currently doing an expansion and amphitheater as well. So grateful to have such an amazing library. Check it out if you haven't!

This library boasts a large collection of materials, as well as many useful community resources. The librarians are always courteous and helpful. I have seen them answer all sorts of questions without missing a beat, and they seem genuinely dedicated to helping others. There always seems to be some kind of activity going on during the week, and they especially have many activities for kids - concerts, magicians, movie nights, etc. They have multiple self-checkouts, so you never have to wait long (usually not at all!) to check out your items. It has a Keurig, sells snacks, and usually has a puzzle or coloring pages out to enjoy. It also has conference rooms that you can reserve if you want some more privacy while working or want to have a meeting there. As much as I love this library, there are some downfalls. First, the parking situation is kind of a mess - there simply isn't enough of it for how busy the library is. Secondly, because it usually is busy, it can be hard to find an open table at times and enjoy a quiet atmosphere. Because it has an open layout, you can often hear children screaming/crying if you are upstairs in the "adult" section. If you think about it, these "downfalls" only prove how popular this place is. Overall, this library is great!

They have special events all the time and send out emails on a regular basis with what events are going on. Besides a great selection of books to read for free, they also offer special activities for all ages. They have puzzles, DVDs, Makerspace, items to borrow such as Memory Kits, hotspots, STEAM kits, Nintendo Switch Games, language translater and so much more. They have passes to area venues such as Betty Brinn Museum, The Domes, and even the Zoo. The staff is kind and willing to help with questions and information. What a gem! The Town Hall Library is part of the library system so checking out can be done across several locations. But this wonderful library is small but mighty and I find myself drawn to it more and more each day. I am now looking at the special activities to learn new things, like how to make homemade body butters and sugar scrubs in January. This is not your mother's library, but one that is just as warm as it offers so much more.

I mean, what kind of a bar opens at 9am and closes by 5 on Fridays, 4 on Saturdays? Roaming amongst the rows and rows of books, I couldn't even find someone to take my order. Eventually though, I figured out how this most unique pub works. It is completely BYOB! What a great savings. And then unlike other bars where you are forced to either converse with the blockheads around you, or stare at the often meaningless sporting events on the big screens (if it aint Jai-Alai, the WNBA or Green Bay Packers, what's the point?), the Cedarburg Library has an immense collection of books of all types, from novels to poetry collections, comics to bird guides; not to mention the newest newspapers and magazines. The conventionally located and well air-conditioned building also offers computers, private study rooms (assumedly if you have brought a significant other and want some alone time), and if you get really sloshed a 3d printer to play with. It would be nice if they had some alcohol on premise in case you drink everything you brought, or at least ice to refresh your spent brandy old-fashioned snifter. And bring your own bottle-opener as for some odd reason the front desk doesn't have one. But overall a wonderful place to have a coupletwothree and read some good literature.
