Then just put them back in the cases from whence they came and drop them in the mailbox postage-free. They don't just send you books willy-nilly. They do it based on your preferences for type of book or authors. If you only like mystery, they will send only mysteries. If you like history, they will send history. They can even send cook books. If you are visually or physically handicapped/impaired, this is a fantastic service and the people who work here are all very nice.

According to "A History of Agriculture in Wisconsin (Volume 2)" by Joseph Schafer, in an affidavit written by Mrs. Carrie Fargo Bicknell, Lorenzo Dow Fargo moved to Lake Mills from his home in Connecticut to buy a farm. Toward the end of his life, he began to reforest much of his land, stressing the importance of trees to future generations. His generous gift of $5,000.00 in 1899 planted the seeds for a library in Lake Mills. (Mrs. Carrie Fargo Bicknell was a daughter of L.D. Fargo.) The building was designed by George Ferry, a noted architect in Wisconsin and a prolific designer of libraries around the state. It was dedicated in August 1902. A fire in January, 1980 caused a great deal of damage to the structure, the children's collection, and the records collection. Great effort was made to clean up and the library reopened, on a limited basis, in April 1980. In April 1981, the fully functional library reopened. "A History of Agriculture in Wisconsin (Volume 2)" by Joseph Schafer was published by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin in 1922.

The bad--many people who use this library seem to have forgotten library etiquette. They carry on, talk loud, their children play loudly and are disruptive. Even more surprising is one of the employees of the library talks so loud you can here her conversations no matter where you sit! Very distracting.

After approximately 3 hours and 24 minutes, an employee approached the room and repeatedly knocked on the glass while holding my driver's license. She remained standing outside the door, which I found uncomfortable and unprofessional. I would have appreciated a more courteous approach, such as a polite knock and verbal explanation regarding the study room time limit. The interaction left me feeling embarrassed and dissatisfied with the customer service I received. I would appreciate clarification regarding the study room policy and hope future interactions can be handled in a more respectful and professional manner.

There's a game room that offers a PS4 or a Nintendo switch, all you need is a library card to rent the room for an hour or more if no one else is interested, it is first come first serve. I mean, what kind of a bar opens at 9am and closes by 5 on Fridays, 4 on Saturdays? Roaming amongst the rows and rows of books, I couldn't even find someone to take my order. Eventually though, I figured out how this most unique pub works. It is completely BYOB! What a great savings. And then unlike other bars where you are forced to either converse with the blockheads around you, or stare at the often meaningless sporting events on the big screens (if it aint Jai-Alai, the WNBA or Green Bay Packers, what's the point?), the Cedarburg Library has an immense collection of books of all types, from novels to poetry collections, comics to bird guides; not to mention the newest newspapers and magazines. The conventionally located and well air-conditioned building also offers computers, private study rooms (assumedly if you have brought a significant other and want some alone time), and if you get really sloshed a 3d printer to play with. It would be nice if they had some alcohol on premise in case you drink everything you brought, or at least ice to refresh your spent brandy old-fashioned snifter. And bring your own bottle-opener as for some odd reason the front desk doesn't have one. But overall a wonderful place to have a coupletwothree and read some good literature.
