She went back to the store she bought the first sweatshirt, but they wouldn't let her return it. She was super sad, and when she came back to Beachcomber, the kind woman overheard the story and gave her the new sweatshirt for free. She is super kind and knows her products, marking them at a super duper reasonable price and choosing to sell things from companies (eg pura vita) that provide jobs to people in poverty in other countries. Everyone should stop by this store, and remember to spread the kindness that she showed my friend in your day-to-day life

A shack with…read more stuff The Glass Onion has been around for a while, at least a decade, maybe two. It was never a very impressive looking place and over the years it has deteriorated a bit. But that's all right, the wear just adds character to it. The first thing you notice is that it's small and very cramped. No AC in this place and on hot days it definitely gets stuffy. The inside has an old and exotic smell to it but combined with the salt air makes for a very pleasant experience. There isn't really enough room inside the small building so the stuff inside frequently overflows onto the street. The merchandise at The Glass Onion is eclectic to say the least. Different items and curiosities from around the world and from local Rhode Island artists and craft people. The inventory is always changing and every time you visit it is a new experience with cool clothes, shoes, jewelry, rugs, books, bags, soaps, baskets and strange and unique art all stuffed into the tiny edifice. The Glass Onion is definitely a store that marches to a different drummer. No attempt at luring people inside with pretty signs or slogans and just getting into the store can be a challenge at times. But once inside a unique adventure awaits. The Glass Onion is just a shack, but a very, very cool shack.

She was awesome and this place lets you TRY ON Lilly which a lot of stores don't let you in fitting rooms yet! So that was AWESOME- considering the sizing is all across the board! They had a few other brands but it was mostly Lilly! They had some cute jewelry, wristlets, and little "gazadellas" as well! This store is also really neat and well decorated with sanitizer waiting for you at the door. My husband was ever so thoughtful and purchased a scarf for me as a little gift while he was on a…read morefishing trip to Block Island and it was a very pretty green scarf, but as I'm admiring it I noticed a hole in the seam (it's an infinity scarf) and a very large tear about a third of the way into the seam. How in the world did the person ringing him up not notice this..and the many pulled strings hanging off it. My guess is they did and choose to ignore it being he was a summer tourist. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and gave the place a call. A very heavily accented young lady told me that her boss's would call me back in about 30 minutes. After 5 hours, I called again, and this time I did get a call back with the promise of a replacement or refund next day when the owner was in the shop. So my review is based on their customer service and the quality of an item they carry. 4 for customer service 1 for quality of item

The prices are extremely reasonable, and it feels good to support the local community. The manager and her young daughter greeted my sister and I with big smiles, making us feel instantly at ease. Upon cashing out, the manager shared a bit about the local artist who made the cool t-shirt I bought. I got stopped by many people asking where I had found the shirt since it was such a unique design. This market is such a cool place. It's easy to overlook and assume it's only a movie theater so if you're looking to escape the crowds and take your time, this is the place to go. Top notch service to boot! Shop local!
