It's a fun place to unwind and run into familiar faces. When the lunch bell sounds, the line forms swiftly, as the masses gather to devour their hoagies and onion rings. There's a nice mix between cold food, like salads and wraps, and hot foods, a majority of which fall into the soup and chili categories. At first glance, what initially comes off as a casual cafe bistro, shows off a surprisingly robust menu upon further inspection. In the spring months, sitting outside in the painstakingly crafted campus, with its obligatory man-made pond, is the preferred way to break up the day and maybe even get a little tan. In the backdrop, the blue sky shimmers off the reflective windows of each looming building, a perfect union of work and play. I am thrilled for the owners, who nearly had to close their doors for good during the COVID-induced shutdown years back. Now, with CEOs leading their return-to-office crusades around the country, the hardworking corporate café worker can once again flourish.

I respect this establishment as they like to keep everything very fresh for high quality, once they run out of bread they are done making sandwiches for the day. She told me she was the one who made my sandwich and she made it the way "the owners wife wrote it" She said "I guess I can make you another one". Her tone was so off putting. I totally get that mistakes happen but her tone and lack of sincere apology was not the best customer service.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the reputation. We ordered Philly cheesesteaks, and while I was ready to taste something iconic, what I got was a black pepper overload. The seasoning completely overpowered the meat, which was disappointing. Even worse, the bread-to-meat ratio was way off. My roll was soggy, and no amount of mayonnaise or ketchup could save it. We also ordered onion rings and chicken tenders for our toddler. The onion rings were fried to the point of being rock hard. Not crispy, just tough. The chicken tenders were dry and flavorless. Our toddler ate some and said they were "good," but even she didn't want the leftovers the next day and neither did we. Hubby said to be fair, the staff was sweet and very accommodating, which we appreciated. However great service can't cover up subpar food. Sadly, High Steaks missed the mark for us, and in a city known for doing cheesesteaks right, that's a big letdown.

She's a ray of sunshine with such great customer service. She remembers me every time, and her energy is just unmatched. I might have to get her a pin that says Biscuit Pusher because she owns that title! The cashiers are friendly, management is attentive, and they genuinely want you to have a great experience. If there's ever an issue, they fix it right away. Tara, the owner, is amazing. Even when she's busy, she makes it a point to check on guests and ask how everything is going. She makes suggestions to make your biscuit sandwich selection go to another level. That level of engagement goes a long way. The quality of the biscuit is always on point. My only issue is that they tend to fall apart when you try to pick them up. I usually have to eat mine with a fork because they crumble so easily. I'd love if they could adjust the texture just a bit so they hold together better. If they did, they'd be perfect! If you haven't gone yet, get there. Let me know how your experience was. Their hoagies are absolutely stacked: meats, cheeses, veggies, all piled high like they're trying to prove a point. In nearly four years of eating here regularly, I had exactly one mistake. One. That's it. If consistency were a sandwich, it would be wrapped in Lee's paper. Everything just works--the bread, the meats, the cheese ratios, all dialed in. They even make a legitimately great cheesesteak and a surprisingly strong patty melt, which tells me this place isn't a one-trick pony. They know what they're doing, and they do it every single time. Customer service is also top tier. After a few weeks, the guy at the register knew my name and my order. That's the kind of place this is--local, friendly, and proud of what they serve. If you're anywhere near East Norriton and you're hungry, do yourself a favor and go here. Support this local gem. And if anyone from Lee's is reading this... please consider opening a location down in the Raleigh / Research Triangle area. I'm begging you.
